Horrible horrible food. I mean, I really don’t want to write a bad review unless it’s *really* bad and I think this place falls under that category. The ambience is pretty dingy but I didn’t want to «judge a book by its cover» and went on to try out their buffet. They do multi-cuisine and barring the Indian section, most of them were quite bad and extremely oily. The poppadums were fried in reused oil which smells really unappetizing. IMO, you get a much better meal for 7 euros in the same locality(think Boojum).

I returned to Buffet 79 for the first time in about a year in order to write this review. A perfectly acceptable all you can eat buffet consisting of Indian, Thai, Italian, Chinese and European food. If you’re not into chicken on the bone(like myself) give this place a miss, as there’s only one or two dishes that include chicken breast. You’re more likely to hit the sun with a snowball than get a glass of tap water in this establishment, every time I’ve been in over the past 2 years they’ve refused to give out tap water and I’ve refused to buy their € 2 bottles of water. The all you can eat just up the road in Moore Street Mall is in a different league to this place, and that one isn’t even great.
