Blowdries & Bubbles

Wonderful event. I will definitely be returning to Robert Chambers.
I was greeted with a glass of prosecco and a smiling face. I have been told by friends the prosecco is common place not just from the fancy Unilocal crowd.
The consultation from Athos was hugely informative and has given me some things to consider before I return for my next cut. He even trimmed my fringe before the styling began.
After a wonderful pampering I emerged with beautifully smooth luxurious hair, ready for my selfie photo session. The goody bag was the icing on the cake. :D

What a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday evening… being pampered, preened and given awesome hair care advice to boot, a girl couldn’t ask for more really! The salon feels exclusive and ultra modern and the staff are über knowledgeable and super friendly so you feel in capable hands the moment you walk through the door. My hair consultation with Dermot was really great, he gave me so much advice on the best way to care for and style my naturally unruly waves without causing undue damage and stress. Have already taken his tips onboard and have found styling my hair easier already, many thanks Dermot!
After the consultation it was off to the basins for a treatment and relaxing head massage before having my hair blowdried into bouncy, full curls. I would definitely return to Robert Chambers, they are so professional and really seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to hair, would also recommend it for anyone looking to treat themselves and get a style overhaul.

This was a really lovely evening in the modern and stylish Grafton Street salon — I had a consultation on cut and colour with stylist Thiago (who is just a peach) and then a gorgeous blowdry (I felt very princessy indeed).
Thiago talked me through the products he was using (Trilliance shine spray was amazing, I’ll definitely be getting it) and the wash was really luxurious (I could feel myself dozing off, which is always a good sign).
I felt really comfortable in Thiago’s hands — I feel sometimes hairdressers have their own ideas about what would suit you best, but he asked me detailed questions about the products I used, my own hair care régime, whether I was satisfied with my current cut and colour and what I would change. Then, he made recommendations based on what I thought, and all very much within my comfort level, but innovative too. He advised me on a shape of undercut that would better suit me and he was dead right.
After the wash and conditioning treatment (which left my hair incredibly soft and slinky today — I’d be very prone to knots and the brush ran through my hair like warm butter this morning) Thiago blowdried my hair straight for the most part, which is very novel for me, with some waves at the front. It was really lovely, and made the most of the length which I’m growing out. It was simple, but not something I’d have tried myself and I loved it.
And of course, the cherry on the top was the bag of Wella goodies, all of which are normally sold in the salon.
This was a total pleasure, and the team made it so — they’re all amazing stylists, but they’re really lovely people too — they were all charming on welcome, and very attentive.
A wonderful evening all round and I’ll certainly be back to act on Thiago’s recommendation. Thanks all!

What a lovely evening! I was first greeted with a lovely glass of bubbly, and then given a very very helpful consultation. Absolutely lovely staff! Made me feel very glamorous altogether :)

Such a wonderful treat! It felt so good to be pampered in such a friendly and professional environment.
First, introductions by Tomar (?) and then an individual consult by Thiago, who gave advice on cuts, colouring, conditioning and a glass of bubbly with a raspberry. Afterwards, the hair wash-​oh my goodness. Having my hair washed and then my scalp massaged, while sitting in those lovely massage chairs. Not what I’m used to, but something I could totally get on board with.
After that, my hair was wrapped in my biodegradable towel (to be used only once) and I was brought back to Thiago, who gave me loads of advice and suggestions, while he blow-​dried and twirled my hair and made me feel fabulous.
Totally delighted with the end result and I’m excited to use my voucher for my cut as well as the swag we were given at the end.

This was the best thing ive been to in a long time. From the bubbles to the massaging chairs to the amazing advice I dont know which part was my favourite.
Got there to a very smiley staff who took my coat and bags and offered me a seat and a glass of prosecco, complete with raspberry, straight away. We waited for everyone to get settled in then the lovely Tamar came out and told us what the night would entail.
I had my cut and colour consultation with Tamar who was brilliant! She is the first hairdresser probably ever to actually listen to me about my hair and without even saying that much she just understood my hair, what my problems were, things I hate about it. Straight away she suggested a new hair cut which I had been thinking of getting anyway, she also suggested ways I could brighten up my otherwise dull and unexciting do. :)
After the consultation Rachel came and took me through to the sinks area to get my hair washed. To my absolute delight they have seats that recline with a footrest and then you sit in the chair and… WOW massaging chair. Ive never been so relaxed getting my hair washed in a salon before. This was amazing. The shampoos and conditioners which were used smelled amazing and left my hair looking wonderful and feeling softer than it has in many a moon.
On to the all important blowdry. I wasnt really sure what I wanted so Tamar came over and suggested a soft curly blowdry. Rachel did the blowdry and she was so gentle, One of my pet hates is when hairdressers really struggle with your hair knots (and as my hair is curly and it was particularly windy that day you can imagine the state of mine). Rachel was amazing and she chatted away as she did an amazing job of styling my hair. When Rachel finished, Tamar came back over and showed me a few tricks for my hair with the blowdryer which I was delighted with!
To top it all off… the goodie bag. Im a sucker for free things (arent we all?!). This goodie bag was amazing as I was just expecting sample size sachets and stuff. I was delighted to see two full size bottles of product and a load of little ones. There was also a USB which was blank. I’m not sure if it was meant to be but sure no harm in getting a free 4gb USB. :) Thank heaven for the 30%off voucher as I am dying to go in and get Tamar to cut my hair and make it as amazing as it sounded yesterday!

What a fabulous event! I can only agree with my fellow Unilocalerettes that this was an amazing treat! Not only was this event really well organised (thanks Emily) but also very well executed. Robert Chambers’ was buzzing when I arrived for the second round of transformation magic but the staff seemed cool, relaxed and were super friendly.
Lovely Eduardo gave me no-​nonsense advice on colour which may just have me convinced to finally colour my hair. If I decided to do so, I’ll definitely have it done here. Sarah then washed my hair, massaged the scalp (ahhhhh bliss) and then finally, armed with brushes and a hairdryer, she made me look like I’m shortlisted for a movie award and I have to give a speech.
For some reason my goodie bag only had half of the goodies in it (compared to pictures of others) but even that doesn’t dampen the good hair-​high in the slightest!

Great event, I felt so lucky! Nicola was really nice and gave me some advice about my next hair colouring.

Who doesn’t want to be pampered on a random Tuesday? Everything about this event was fab; not just my hair at the end… My stylist Aoife did an amazing job and was super friendly. The prosecco was a lovely touch and that, teamed with the massage chairs, meant I could stay there forever. Did I mention the goodie bag?! THERE WAS ALSO A GOODIE BAG. Best. Event. Ever.

From the moment that I stepped in I felt really well taken care of. The consult was really helpful and the pampering that followed was so nice! The staff are really friendly and professional.

Walked in feeling pretty unglamorous after a day in the office. Walked out feeling like a 40s Disney princess. Result!
On arrival we were greeted with bubbly to start the post work pampering.
I started with a consultation and my stylist was very helpful in suggesting a new style for me. I’ll be back very soon to take him up on his suggestions!
When it was time to get my hair done I sat down as I normally would. The footrest started to automatically rise up and it turned out the chairs were massage chairs! I was not expecting that at all but it was very relaxing. The products used were fab and my hair looked so healthy and smooth after.
I got a great 40s style blow dry which I will have to come back to recreate for a work do we have coming up.
Can’t wait to try out the products in the goodie bag and return for a hair cut!

I arrived into the bustling Robert Chambers where my coat was taken and I was seated quickly for my consultation.
All of a sudden a glass of prosecco arrives! Yes please. I went through various options to change my style with the consultant and he recommended a few different products to try.
I was then brought to get my hair washed. Another surprise– massage chairs! Every hair salon should have these. What a treat!
I walked out at the end of the evening feeling great. Thanks to the great staff and Emily for a such a special event!

It’s been so long since I went to the hairdressers that I had forgotten all the lovely little rituals that went along with a visit. The introductions. The chat about what was going to be done today. The running of hands through the hair to get a feel for condition length and texture. The donning of the protective gowny-​thing. The washing and conditioning. Oh it’s so nice to be pampered.
It’s particularly nice to be pampered in such a luxurious environment. Various staff members took our coats, offered us prosecco, advised us on treatments, colours and cuts and it was just all sorts of lovely. I was given a run-​down of the strengths and vulnerabilities of my hair type, advised on how to manage it and given straight-​up advice gently and in a non-​dictatorial way.
Everyone I spoke to was thrilled with their salon-​fresh hair — Victoria looked like she had walked out of an audition for Gwyneth Paltrow’s hair double — and the great thing was it was no-​nonsense advice on how to maintain your hairstyle as well as how a professional can help with that. There was no hard-​sell, just reliable and inspiring sharing of knowledge and experience.

Fantastic event! I felt like a super star from start to finish. While they washed my hair I was in a massage chair and it was magic. Really nice and professional staff. Also Kim K called and she wants her hair back, that is how good it looks.

I’m so impressed with Robert Chambers. What a great way to be pampered. A glass of prosecco, with a fresh raspberry, (great little touch), and a FREE goodie bag, jam packed with little gems. I feel utterly spoilt!
Tamar was fantastic. I always go to a salon wanting some style, but with curly hair it’s so hard to find. I always leave with the same style, not much input and still a little confused, which in turn has left me a little lazy with my hair.
With Tamar, I’ve found a new love for my hair, a new product to try, a completely different approach, and advice on how to look after it and style it properly, I love it! (Thank you so much!)
The Salon is so comfortable, with reclining massage chairs while you get your hair washed, followed by a head massage, which was delightful! My hair feels super soft and nourished with the treatment, and with the way Tamar styled it, I keep having to glance at myself in the mirror just to see how good it looks and feels. it’d be rude not to!
