Not bad, but there are so many good spots in Ballsbridge that Bellucci’s gets lost in the shuffle. Good place for dinner though; if a bit pricey. The food is straight down the line Italian; which is useful if you’re feeding a fussy eater. Penne arrabbiata or a plain pizza for them, and you can enjoy one of the more interesting dishes. Bellucci’s do a nice line in seafood dishes, and great selection of cocktails as well.

Service was good and with a smile. Pizza was average. The quality of the mozzarella was lacking. The«wood fired oven» must not be very good because the pizza was soggy, not crisp as I expected. The tiramisu was Excellent! Light and fluffy and a generous portion.

Sunday lunch at Belluccis did not disappoint last Sunday, despite the most miserable, wettest day of the year! Four of us actually had a ‘Grab-One vouchers’ which entitled us to a cocktail, a three course lunch or dinner, plus a bottle of wine per couple and all for the amazing price of € 60 for two! Despite the darkness from the horrid weather outside, the inside of this restaurant, felt warm and inviting with lovely low supple lighting and soothing background music. We were all amazed though that the place was practically empty, all during the two plus hours that we were there, only about 3 tables in total were occupied — maybe it had something to do with the weather. Our cocktails took rather a long while to prepare, but they were delicious when they arrived and obviously freshly made just for us! — recommend the Lemon and Ginger Mojito or the even more delicious Daiquiri with pineapple served straight. We expected to be restricted in our menu choice due to the deal which we had pre-purchased, however, we were suitable surprised when told we could choose absolutely any item from a la carte or the set lunch menu. We had a bottle of both the house red and white wines and these were of very high quality. Our starters included pan fried tiger prawns(shelled) with chilli and garlic butter and Antipasti Alla Carne i.e. a platter of really good Italian Meats, Italian Cheeses, Marinated Olives, Homemade Pesto, Fresh Breads & Dips. For mains, 3 of us had Filetto di Manzo or 8oz Fillet Steak with Spinach and Polenta Croquettes, Buttered asparagus and a Red Wine Jus — all cooked perfectly to our choosing, and one person had Linguine Pasta with Tiger Prawns, Garlic, Sundried Tomatoes, Pine Nuts and Rocket — again freshly prepared and tasting delicious. For dessert we enjoyed Torta Caprese/Flourless Chocolate Cake Served with Raspberry Sorbet and Chocolate Sauce, RaspberryPanna Cotta and Affogato al Caffe — a scope of Vanilla Ice Cream served in a tall glass and drowned in hot espresso with a dash of Baileys! We thoroughly enjoyed a really delicious meal and even more delicious for the price! We will certainly visit this lovely restaurant again. Staff were very warm and friendly without being over attentive, but as I already said they were not busy at all.

I have never had a more dissatisfying dinning experience. I tried to share a margarita pizza and drinks to find out that you must spend 13.50 euro only on food to even join your party at the table. They tried to ask us to leave because drinks and a shared plate(would have equaled well over 40 euro) didn’t give us the privilege to sit with our party. Joined a group of 10 colleagues for a celebration dinner. Everyone at the table ordered entrees that seemed mediocre. I was appalled that in such a large group when the dining room was practically empty(on Friday evening) they forced me to order food I was not hungry for despite the fact that I was happy to spend money on multiple drinks. The pizza was flavorless and didn’t even have fresh mozzarella or a sprig of basil. Awful.

The ambiance and décor here is warm and inviting, which is why we decided to give dinner a try here. I had a pasta dish with chicken. The chicken was tough and lacked flavor. The color and texture of the chicken was not pleasant. The pasta was undercooked and slightly crunchy. The sauce was not memorable at all. Maybe next time we will have to give the pizza a chance.

I visited here again before christmas. It was a group lunch, so I didn’t have a choice, but went along anyways. I’m marking it up 1 star, as the food was edible this time. I had the burger and it was ok, and the chips were so-so. I seem to be having a different experience than most others.

Went to Bellucis after the Horse Show in RDS with 2 friends. We had a trio of Bruschetta between the 3 of us. It was lovely. Both of my friends ordered a vegetarian linguini, I tried some of it and it was gorgeous and I ordered chorizo tagliatelle, which was amazing too, but very disappointed with the size of the portions, we all felt we wanted to eat again.

Quick glance: + nice ambiance + good pizza — portion size variable Full review: I came here after a full day of conference at the Royal Dublin Society(RDS) and had dinner with a couple of colleagues. Soft rock was playing in the background unobtrusively, and the ambiance was relaxed for a chat(although leaning towards the romantic side!). I had the pizza which was good value and filling, although my colleagues looked pretty hungry after their mains so portion size seems variable.

I have been here for the 3rd time now and I can say this place never disappoints, delicious food, great wine and cocktails. We shared a antipasti starter with 3 people, it was meant for one — but totally enough for 3 if you are going for main and desert too. They have a artichoke-dip which is the most amazing stuff I have tasted, fresh and fruity — just good! For main we all chose pasta dishes: spaghetti all a bolognese, rigatoni with chicken and broccoli and linguine with tiger prawns — I tasted every dish and I would order all of them, natural flavours, good quality and freshness. For desert we had panna cotta and tiramisu to share, I couldn’t say what I prefer, they were both so good! The Service is very nice too, always smiley, quick and helpful — a place to have great Italian food in Ballsbridge =)

Belluccis was one of the first restaurants I went to when I moved to the Dublin area last year. I recently went back with a friend and was reminded of how great this place is! Last September, I had a great dinner with some new friends here. The vitello ai funghi was delicious. When we couldn’t decide on desert, out waiter brought us a platter with a few selections for us to sample a bit of everything. The Tiramisu and the cannoli were the standouts. They were so yummy, and I’m not usually a desert person! I went back to Belluccis last weekend and, as anticipated, I wasn’t disappointed! My friend and I celebrated the warm weather by sipping on an Aperol Spritz(€ 6) while we looked through the menu. We split the Crostini con Funghi(€ 5.50) as a starter. Oh. My. God. It was delicious. The garlic, mushrooms and mozzarella melted in my mouth so perfectly, and I’ve been having very serious cravings for this dish all week. As a main I enjoyed the Pollo alla Valdostana(€ 18.50) which was a chicken breast wrapped in parma ham, stuffed with fontina cheese and served with a mushroom sauce. The mushrooms were so tender and the sauce paired very well with the creamy mashed potatoes it was served with. I also sampled my friend’s Tagliatelle Polpetta(€ 17) and the meatballs were quite tasty. We ended the night with a double espresso and went home happy! Two comments from my friend that I definitely agreed with — the pasta didn’t come with enough meatballs(they were so good!), and the side of mashed potatoes she ordered had a very strong taste of alcohol, which was a bit odd. All in all, great food though! It was really quiet for a Friday night, but also perfect because we were able to sit outside on the patio and take in the warm summer air. Great place!

I’ve been here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. Each time I ordered the same thing, the Bellucci Pizza, which was very tasty. Their pizzas are the thinner, stone baked pizzas, which I love! When my friend and I arrived for dinner, they had us wait at the bar for a couple minutes while they«prepared» our table. Basically they had us sit at the bar to try to get us to purchase cocktails, but that’s okay, we didn’t sit there long. We were taken to our table, and we each ordered. I will say, their service is a bit slow, we did have to ask three times for them to bring us water(which ended up coming out the same time our food arrived). However, if we did need something, we were able to flag down a server quite quickly. Overall, it was pretty good and I will probably go there again.

Just in from a fab meal in Bellucci’s(thanks menupages — great deal). Where to start, first of all the outside dining area is very comfy and we were blessed with two hours of sunshine for the meal which started with some very well made Margerita Cocktails. The waitress was very plesant and attentive throughout the entire meal(Kudos for well trained staff and an attentive, and visible manager!) Bellucci’s is situated directly across from the RDS in a nice part of town. The interior and exterior of the building do it more than justice and going on the cocktails I was served, I would recommend the cosy bar for just a drink — try it out! Starters and desserts were the highlight of the meal. For starters we shared Fritto Miso; calamari, prawns and some tempura veg with house made tartare sauce and Speidini di Mozzarella e Crudo– beautifully cooked and tasty. For main course we shared the monkfish which was wrapped in Pancetta(a little undercooked in the middle and served with black olives) and on reccommendation, a pizza. Unfortunatley, the best part of the pizza was the crust and the red peppers which I have no doubt were chargrilled in their pizza oven and were devine! The pizza crust was amazing, clearly good dough and perfectly thin! however, the middle of the pizza was quite wet and the rest of the pizza lacking any major flavours. Not incredibly disappointed with the mains but they could have been a bit better! Dessert, well what can I say? They were worth every single calorie! Absolutely fabuous, well presented, fresh and very tasty. Pannacotta was perfect, the spoon sliced perfectly through it and it melted on your tongue! However, the Tiramisu lacked the coffee-amaretto flavour and the italian ladyfingers(which were relpaced with sheets of sponge) despite the menu description. Despite this, it was light and tasty but definately had much much better Tiramisu many times before. Espresso was as great as you would expect from an Italian eatery, service was great. All in all a great experience, I would definately go back(and recommend it).

I had no idea how big this eatery is, I always thought it was more of a diner as I only ever walked by it and you see a patio style area. Yesterday I learned that there is a very different mood setting inside it. Warm colours and plenty of old black and white photos of children and famous singers. The music that they play is mainly a 1950’s easy listening vibe, although someone in there really loves Michael Buble as the volume went up anytime he came on the airwaves — it was a bit much to be honest, you don’t blast music in a restaurant. I got the margarita pizza which was very tasty and a margarita cocktail. It was OK, I’ve had better. They do have a very impressive bar and cocktail menu, and the fire from the oven gives it a wonderful atmosphere. For dessert I had their selection of sorbets of the day which was absolutely delicious and so fresh — highly recommend ordering them. Over all a pizza, beer, cocktail, dessert, tea and water came to € 35.

Good service, and good food, at a good price. The décor seems a little cold though — the space is very big, and even with the big over in the middle seems very open and a little spartan. A more rustic feeling might help this place do better, but I guess they are working with what they have.

I popped in there before a Leinster match. I had the soup and a Diavolo pizza. There was nothing spicy or hot about the pizza. The soup was good. But I won’t be returning.

We eventually returned to Bel & Belucci’s to re-evaluate the place following the disappointing first visit and found it much improved. The menu has been reduced and the results are promising. The pizza was thinner, crispier and tastier — I even re-tried the same gorgonzola and sausage pizza for comparison — vastly better this time around. The starter, again fried, but this time a risotto based starter was far better than our first outing and not too heavy. Overall, a great improvement and I will be going back to solidify my opinion. Another good showing and I will bump it up to a 4-star.

We ordered takeway. First thing that impressed was that the takeway prices were very reasonable compared to Dominos. € 9 – 11 compared to compared to € 16 – 18 for the Dominos equivalent. We ordered 4 pizzas for four of us and were really happy to find ou that since we were spending € 40 we got a free bottle of wine. In summary, great stuff.

I have wanted to try this place for some time — simply because I like vespas, they have one sitting in their doorway and I am that shallow. Also, a second good pizza(PAULIE’s = *****)restaurant in the area would be great. Fairly cool space with a curved front window, cool focal point(with a open flame pizza oven), and bad music. Apps included cured beef carpaccio with rocket and shaved parmesan — pretty good. Frito misto — love the idea and overall decent quality, but the bread crumbs had trouble adhering to the shellfish or veggies — and there wasn’t really any coherence to the selection of veggies — fried carrots? really? We also ordered italian beer — very nice and pizza — crisp crust without the distinctive and delicious taste at Paulie’s. All in all okay, but could be better. I hope they read their reviews and try to improve — music that fits the space would be good, a good frito misto would be great. Improving their pizza crust would be better.
