When I think of Craft Beer, I think of Beer House. If you asked me what the perfect Pub is, its Great beer. Pizza. Quiet when you want it to be quiet. Full of buzz when you want it. A fantastic place to play board games and in a relaxed atmosphere. It also had the most fantastic ginger porter!

We had the Groupon for their craft beer tasting-pizza combo. There were plenty of seats, so we chose one toward the back, near the fireplace. The interior is pretty comfortable, with couches along one side of the wall. One of the guys lit candles which had a nice effect. It was a bit too dark though, so we pulled up the blinds next to our table. With the Groupon, we got to try four beers each and share a mid-sized pizza. Unfortunately they only had one pizza without meat, and since they were frozen pizzas they were already put together. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and was constantly checking to see if we were ready for our next round. We were able to order the draughts which limited our choice a bit, but the menu was very extensive! We tried the Aspall Suffolk cyder(usually I don’t like ciders, but this one was not too sweet and pretty yummy), the Independent Brewing pale ale, the Blonde Weiss(this one had a weirdly strong taste of banana), the Rustbucket rye ale, the Bohemian pils, and one other that I enjoyed but didn’t get the name of. The pizza was a bit small but quite tasty for a frozen one, especially when we added the Sriracha they brought with it. I know it’s a pub, but I think it would be great if they added a few more food items to the menu! Chips or something. Anyway, it was a great experience and definitely worth the price with the Groupon. Don’t expect any mainstream beers because they’re totally craft!

Oh, I do like the Beerhouse. Especially in Dry january: we managed to get a seat on the sofa –woohoo(any other month, and you’ll have a hard time finding a comfy seat-it gets quite packed) I love their beer and cocktail selection, and they always seem to have great deals on. Feeling a bit peckish we shared a pizza(pint and pizza for a tenner). It was pretty okay, I mean… for a pub pizza you can’t expect haute cuisine. They put a huge bottle of asian hot sauce on the table, and I drowned my slices in it. It was divine and cured me from my headcold. Next stop: Asian shop and buy myself my own big bottle. NOM!

A great spot for a quiet pint or two… or five. There’s always a good selection of beers on tap and a couple of them change regularly. The staff are will help you out with the choosin’ and if you’re lucky you can grab a spot in front of the fire and enjoy your reasonably priced pizza and a pint(10 yoyos)!

Crafty, without a hint of «normal». Perfectly reasonable, spacious, with a big(ish) list. Pricey, but possibly in the«I should really expect to pay over € 5/pint in Dublin». They’ve a house beer(that I didn’t try) and some specials, and a pretty middling pizza which you can get with an «up to € 5 beer» for a tenner(good luck finding one of those on the menu, however), but they’re sound & will let you pay the extra 50c or whatever. Sound bar staff who seemed excited by all the beers, but didn’t have much to say if you asked them about a pint. It’s good, though. I’d be back as there are only so many pints of Guinness you can drink.

Best for evening beers. Unpretentious and with a good choice of beer on tap. Pizza and pint is great value!

A good place to drink a pint or two. Here you can find a lovely atmostphere with really cool music. They also have many table games to make the night even funnier.

Craft beers… Yep, these folks are all about the craft beers and what’s pretty neat with them is the their laid back, chilled approach. Was here for their craft beer tasting experience with a group of work colleagues… As we arrived, we had a great area reserved for us just off the bar and within a few minutes, the bar man got the beer flowing. The tasties were very broad, from light pale ales to champagne stouts, I liked the variety… Some more pleasing that others but that’s what makes tasties awesome, you’re not afraid to give anything a try. Each drink was introduced with info on brewery, history and flavours. Some of the group were not feeling the beers which I was really happy to see the barman accompany them and for the price of our tasting, he mixed them up some cocktails instead! Great work, tip my hat to you on that one folks! I’d definitely like to come back, not an area I’m often in however my friends, your on my radar now and I 100% would love to come back and chill out, enjoy some drinks and play connection 4 ha ha

Let me start by saying I’n not a huge fan of beer. Let me continue by saying I loved this place. Everything feels pretty authentic in there, which helps get you in the mood for the«Craft Beer Experience» type thing. The selection of beers we had for our tasting was broad enough that I never felt like I was always having more of the same, which happened to me at similar events in the past: yes, I’m a wine snob and I could drink different varietals of the same region and point out the«subtle nuances», but I can only drink so many different Pilseners. Seriously, this is a great place and the people behind the counter know what they’re doing. Even if you don’t like beer much, tell them what you do like and they’ll find a bee for you. We went in as a big group for an office party type thing and everything was sort of pre-set, but they were very accommodating of the two people with us that had to leave and had their tasting fast-tracked, and of the people who did get tired of beer and were served a really nice cocktail.

The beer list is not bad at all, there are good craft beers paying less than in other similar places, I think they have cocktails as well, but don’t ask me what exactly, I am not into other drinks different to beer ;). They use to have deals with beer and pizza for a good price. You can order the pizza that you prefer at the bar and they order it to a pizza place in the area. Some board games available. It is a good place to meet friends, play something or just have a chat. Maybe this pub hasn’t the own identity of other pubs, but you can enjoy there the drink.

Before it was the Beerhouse another bar stood here(I think it was called O’Neil’s but I am probably wrong). I used to walk by it and see signs outside of cool things happening and inside always looked like a great place to drink. I never made it in while it was in that incarnation and I always regretted it. I was sad that I never got to go but when it re-opened as the Beerhouse my curiosity was piqued. Since then The Beerhouse has easily become one of my favourite bars. Fantastic range of craft beers, chilled out atmonsphere, great music and a wide range of board games make this one of the best places to hangout. There is a fairly small yet very original cocktail menu for any non-beer drinkers. They even do decent pizzas which are also pretty cheap. The lads who run the place are dead sound too. I got talking to them one night and found out it is actually one of their family’s bar and that its previous incarnation was their’s too. The bar is is covered in Hunter S Thomspon and Oscar Wilde Quotes stenciled on the walls. All the furniture is second hand and mismatched. A lot of people do this kind of thing to achieve a «shabby chic» look. This place is genuinely shabby and a bit grungy which I like. I know it’s not to everyone’s taste but I like it. It gives the place a much more lived in, comfortable feeling; like your going over to a mates house and your so close with that mate they don’t mind you seeing the place in a state. They do a deal on Mondays where most of their draft is just € 4. Even with that great deal they somehow manage to be relatively queit on Mondays making it a pretty good place to have a chilled evening with board games and beer.

This places oozes enthusiasm for craft beer! With a number of rotating taps there’s always a variety of tasty craft beers to enjoy. The staff are friendly and willing to offer recommendations on the variety of options at hand. If you’re hungry they offer a pizza and a craft beer for 10 euro. The Beerhouse offers a laid back and less pretentious atmosphere than most craft pubs in the city. For people who love beer, I couldn’t recommend this place any more.

Anyone who thinks the beerhouse is trying too hard doesn’t remember the dark days when bars for young people didn’t try at all. With pitchers of craft beer, a simple and unpretentious food list and decent offers always available, this is a great midweek bar. The staff are very nice and the music is always deadly. I’ve often left my phone on auto-shazam in here.

I’ve been there twice and I’m sure l’ll be back. Good selection of craft beers, friendly atmosphere, cozy furnishing, big windows with a view on the street. Recommended for a relaxed after work pint with a couple of friends. Ideal for would-be writers, artistic souls and people-watching lovers. I’ve been there only in the afternoon and I’m curious to see how it looks in the busiest hours of the evening.

So I’ve been wanting to go in here for ages. I like their signage outside — I’m a sucker for a good font — there, I admit it! Unfortunately the reality didn’t quite live up to expectations. It’s a little. smelly. And kinda dirty? I guess it looks as if it may have been given a bit of a facelift from the last establishment, but just not quite enough that it looks all that fresh. They’ve given it a paint job and paid for some board games, but other than that, it’s just a little grotty looking… Now, aside from all that… They’ve got a whopper craft beer list if that’s your bag. In fact, they have no big breweries only, which may not be some people’s bags. They also have wine and cocktails which I didn’t try, and an extensive menu which seems to range from mediteranian to Italian to Mexican. There were really friendly staff in at the time, and a very relaxed atmosphere, so this, and the beer menu, is what I’m giving them their stars for.

Great craft beers on draft. Friendly knowledgable barman . Underlooked bar maybe because of its location, well worth a look.

I dropped in here during beer fest. A week long festival of tastings, music and free hotdogs. A fantastic idea that I hope paid off. It was a wet Saturday afternoon and we were almost the only people there. This had its benefits as the barman had time to chat with us and give us a taste of beers before we committed to one. We also got our choice of seats and so chose a comfy couch beside the fire. I love craft beers and supporting local businesses so I was excited to meet the men behind the five lamps brewery and sample their fine ales. The brewer, a cork man, who had worked for Guinnesses for 27 years before turning to the craftier ways was fascinating and was truly passionate about what he did. I got a couple of half pints at 2.50 each they were exactly half the price of a full pint. Against the grain and the black sheep do this as well which I appreciate because I like to drink slowly. We left around 6 so didn’t get to witness how busy it gets. Judging by the décor it’s target market is a laid back student crowd. The blinds were down which seemed a little strange because it was still bright out but then my hungover friend appreciated the dim. Overall I really enjoyed my afternoon here. If I lived as little closer I’d be in every weekend.

10 euro for a beer and pizza, both of which were great! You can’t go wrong. The bar man was very helpful and they have a great selection of beers. Nice and quiet, great for a chat.

If your looking for a bar that is friendly, welcoming and above all original then there is no need to look any further. Rob I think was the name of the bar man that has served myself and my friends on both occasions that I have been there and he could not have been any friendlier or more helpful in recommending and going through the fantastic verity of craft beer which is on offer at the beerhouse from all the fantastic IPA range right through to the house beer the really difficult choice when coming here is deciding what one should drink, and with a beer always being 3.50 there are some deals to be had here to. There is a great open area at the back with a fire lighting which is perfect to gather around with friends and the Italian gate pizza that can be ordered in is fantastic and once again pretty original and there is a relaxed atmosphere to the place which I quite enjoyed as well. If your a craft beer enthused like myself I would absolutely recommend trying it out as I know I will be back again

It is great to see new bars like this promoting craft beers. There is a reasonable selection of beers with prices ranging from € 4.50 for Cork’s Franciscan Well to € 6.00 for a Pernoi. I like where they are going with the décor, it is in a similar vain to other craft beer bars in Dublin; however, it still feels a bit unfinished. I didn’t think the bar had much of an atmosphere, however I was here on a Sunday evening. There is regular live music here, so I will be back to see who’s playing!
