Very good Thai food. They’re not afraid to deliver the heat on the spicier dishes but also do a great job on milder fare. The panang beef was as good as anything I’ve had at any Thai place, and the chicken with basil was also very good. The green and yellow chicken curries are also recommended. Nice unpretentious atmosphere. Not a lot of seating capacity so I recommend reservations.

A favourite — many special occasions have been celebrated here, and I am sure there will be more.

This is by far the best Thai food I have had in Ireland and that’s after trying my fair share of places. It’s very authentic. Having visited Thailand a number of times and loved he food, chilli banana’s food is on par with restaurants in Thailand. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is fantastic. I loved the veg spring rolls and sizzling chicken with fried rice. It’s absolutely delicious. I think I will become a regular. It’s very reasonably priced too and only up the road from home so couldn’t be happier.

To end our weekend of excess, my 3 friends and I decided to dine here. I have to say I am so extremely happy we did. The dining area has a modern Asian edge and seated everyone dining comfortably. For my starter I got the prawn salad. Now for € 12.50 it’s not really a starter but I like to share my calories so it was worth it. All of my friends agreed that it was the BESTSTARTER! The sauce it was served with. I just wanted a vat of it to drink. It fulfilled the umami of taste: sweet, sour, salty. Delicious and drool worthy?! The duck spring rolls are also no laughing matter. Crispy, hot and savoury. The fish cakes were good but not what you would expect a fish cake to be… the wontons were also quite forgettable. For mains we ordered the cod curry(perfectly well seasoned and cooked cod in a flavourful curry) the red chicken curry(the rich coconut curry will blow your taste buds out of this world) something with broccoli(this particular diner didn’t want to share, but the piece of broccoli I stole was crisp tender and flavourful: exactly how I want my broccoli to be) and I got the chili duck. My chili duck was perfectly cooked: the veggies were crispy and the meat was tender. It was spicy and sooo full of flavor. I can’t think if anything negative to say about the food here. The service was also impeccable as they were on top if filling our glasses with water and giving us fresh utensils for every course. Possibly the best Thai restaurant I’ve eaten in, in Ireland. It’s authentic Thai food. My only grope about it would be the portions are a bit meager but we only wanted more cuz it was so delish! I highly recommend you to try it out!
