A wonderful, family-​run pub.
The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are friendly and professional.
The location is great, on the bank of he Shannon. In summer the beer garden is great.
The food is full of flavour and the portions are more than generous. Menu is wide ranging.
It has a great pint of Guinness and is hard to leave!
I highly recommend Keenan’s.

This was the first pub we went to on our honeymoon in Ireland where we had our first Ireland Guinness. The food was very good and the service quick. This is a traditional Irish pub so it was more authentic than a touristy spot like some of the others we stopped at during our trip.

Great Pub, very friendly atmosphere and superb food! Meals are really good value for money and portion sizes are very generous — so make sure you leave room for one of there yummy desserts!
There is parking at the back and a lovely veranda garden as well as a bright and open conservatory. But the pub itself is cosy and welcoming.
I would recommend booking on the weekend as can become quite busy, especially in the evening.
I would also recommend a walk down the riverside after your meal — the perfect end to a relaxed night in one of Co. Longford’s best pubs =)

For a great meal and evening out, I highly, unreservedly recommend this super pub & restaurant. The location is lovely, the pub itself is friendly, comfortable and warm.

The food is hearty and generously portioned. Steaks are huge and appropriately cooked and thoroughly enjoyable. The menu is varied enough to be interesting, something for everyone, without getting overburdened. Everything on it is well executed, be it protein or veg.
This is a wonderful place to spend an evening with family or friends. There is a lively atmosphere and the sense that it’s all right to relax and stay for a while.
