Solid four stars. Service is efficient and timely(if without much personality — I guess we aren’t in a hole in the wall or dai pai dong), wifi is good(we are in Wired Café after all), and environment is pleasant for a catch-up with friends because it’s in the top floor(not too loud from the noise of other restaurants). Food can be a bit better in quality — fried pork cutlet was yummy taste wise but a bit more batter and saucy than I would have liked. Portions are HUGE for lunch — $ 72 for my lunch set with drink, soup, AND dessert. Would come back again if I’m in the area and need to stop by to do some work after busy meal hours or to see a friend. EDIT — Happy hour is B1G1(starts at 3pm). 50HKD for 2 gin and tonics… yes please!

Saw pictures on Unilocal and happened to be back at Hysan Place. Was looking through the food guide and somehow ended up at the wrong lift hence we ended up at the 14th floor. Without much hesitation, after looking at the big advertisement on the Dutch oven pancake, I decided to head for the savory pancake instead of the sweet ones. Ordered the Hawaiian pancake(with shredded crab meat and mixed well with mayonnaise like crab salad) and the peach and grapefruit mocktail. The mocktail arrived first. The color of the mocktail was vibrant and after stirring, I tasted more sour on the beverage. I enjoy sour drinks so the combination was perfect. Citrusy drink with a slice of lemon that accompanies a lighter meal. The Dutch oven pancake came in a pan. The ingredients combination made it to be picturesque. It was thin but a little fluffy on the outside. You could just use your fork and spoon to cut it up. Taste wise, I enjoy the pancake a lot but the«crab salad mix» was not as good as it looks. More on the salty side and would prefer it to have less mayonnaise on the dish. This place also offers lunch sets. My brother had his soft shell crab Omu rice with curry(omelette on top of the rice) [Set E]. He commented it was the right portion and tasty dish. Space wise it is pretty spacious. The decoration looks inviting from the outside with a mix of hipster related items. Free wifi is also available here. Definitely a place to dine in with efficient service and friendly staffs ;)

KINGTACORICE. Get it. You can’t go wrong. You’ve got minced beef, diced tomatoes, and a sunny side up egg on top of a mound of fluffy rice. It’s plated with some greens around the rice(to, you know, keep it healthy), and topped with some dressing and cheese. Truthfully, I’ve only been here for lunch, but it’s a great place to relax and hang out with friends. The large windows let the natural light flood in. It’s a bit tricky to get to if you’ve never been to the Hysan Place(horrible design, I swear), but once you arrive there are comfortable seats waiting for you. Service is average, but can be a little hit or miss depending on how busy the café is when you arrive. If you need a place to do some work away from the office, Wired Café also offers free wifi.(YAY!)

This place is actually not bad for lunch. The seats are comfortable, the food(I ordered the rice with egg and burger meat) is not bad and for $ 10 more you also get a dessert. Free wifi in the restaurant.

This café is not too easily accessible. Located on the 14/f of Hysan Mall, I need to get myself to 2/f before reaching the lift to 12/f, and then up 2 floors by escalator to 14/f. No wonder the café is a bit empty during lunchtime. Instead of the lunch set, I have the oven baked pancake. It is actually a flattened soufflé served with caramelised Apple. The«pancake» is very soft and creamy. Worth a try!

Nice place to meet up with a friend for a casual lunch. This time however, I was a little bit in a rush as my friend had to get back to work. The service was a bit slow. Even after flagging down the staff it seemed to take a while to get our drinks… then our food… then our dessert. Other than this though, the food was very delicious. They serve Japanese fusion and then they have Dutch pancakes and pasta. It’s a unique menu to say the least. The ambiance is really nice as well. With the big windows the natural lighting is great and the dining area is very open. It was easy to get a table and it was comfortable. I got curry chicken on rice in a hot plate. Tasty, but a bit heavy for lunch. Cheese and mayo ontop makes it very rich. My friend got another curry chicken dish with a egg omlette. Green Tea Dutch Pancake was very tasty. I’ve never had a dutch pancake, so this was something new to me and I would get it again, no doubt. We each got a cocktail, no complaints, they look nice and taste good! Unfortunately, I can’t remember which ones we ordered. All in all. try it, I’m sure you will not be disappointed!

I am definitely a fan of this restaurant. Reason being, it is conveniently located in Causeway Bay, and this is(for some strange reason), one of the easiest restaurants to find a table. What i like about this restaurant/café, is that it really is like a café! I’ve brought my laptop and worked here all day before and i didn’t get any strange looks from the staff. This café serves japanese/western cuisine, so in other words, it’s kinda like japanese fusion i guess. So they serve the typical loco moco and other similar japanese hamburg steak, japanese curry, etc. They also like to be a bit more creative with their desserts and some other dishes. I got the tuna rice once. i know. sounds typical but the sauce was really yummy, and it came with a soft boiled egg on top. just totally satisfied any craving i had! The food selection is quite good, most of the things I’ve tried were above par, aside from the bratwurst with curry… it was literally what it’s called, didn’t taste good at all. The drink selection is pretty big as well, for a place like Wired café, i wouldn’t expect a big beer selection, but hey, they do have a few good beers, like kronenbourg blanc! They have a lot of different cocktails as well — japanese style of course. Great place for a quick bite or to chill and chat with friends.

Try the pancakes. Definitely the pancakes. Have you ever wandered around Causeway bay and struggled to find a place to chill with your friends while enjoying pancakes and Japanese dishes? Try this one in Hysan Place. While most restaurants here are often rather pricey, this one seems to be more affordable for everyone. I would strongly recommend the pancakes here. Though the options are not that much, they all are of high quality in terms of the appearance and the taste. Notice that pancakes would take around 15 minutes, so be prepared to wait for a bit. Later you will see the pancakes served from the iron pan, which is really freshly made and sizzling hot. Other than that, this café provides wifi and the password is written on the walls.(However, there are certain parts of the restaurant that have rather weak signal so good luck). Also, this place has happy hour between 5−8pm and it is buy one get one free, so do not miss out! The only downside of this place is even though it is supposed to be a café where people can chill and talk, it seems like the music is a little bit too loud and you basically can barely hear each other. However, the environment and ambiance make up for it overall with dimmed lights and rather relaxing atmosphere. Give it a try and it will not disappoint you.
