UA Times Square

Lost some. Gained some. That sums up my feelings with UA Times Square (or UA Cine Times, if you must, but I’m sure that no one would ever use that name).
Remember the good ol’ days when the cinema was located at the side of Times Square? People waiting for their friends or their another half? Whenever there’s a big movie, the queues that went on on the street. The escalators that led you up through the tunnel to the lobby… All are memories now. Tiffany & Co. obviously paid Times Square good money to rent that space.
But as I reviewed before, Times Square got almost the best logistic design, and the new cinema confirms my theory. Bringing the people up to the mall for movies is the new strategy being employed in the shopping malls on the Kowloon side already. So Times Square did the same, happy crowd going for movies, stay behind for late dinner or late night shopping.
Pretty efficient snack bar too, if you just want something light. And if you order a set with drinks and popcorn and all, feel free to ask them to give you a tray. You can bring the tray inside the theatre.
The theatre was brand new and great. Very comfy seating. The seats have some room of incline and make it like home.
So old memories gone, but you get a better theatre slightly less convenient. Otherwise, I don’t mind coming back to this cinema at all.

Times Square needs no introduction, in the smack-​middle of the shopping paradise known as Causeway Bay. You’ll find almost everything you need here, from great dining options, electronics, movies to apparel. Of course, if you’re just here for window shopping, Times Square usually has the most eye-​catching outdoor displays/​set-​ups in the area!
