Seen this place many times from my Taxi and finally gave it a try as I fancied a drink. When we realised they are actually an Indian restaurant(chef and staff) my taste buds went into overdrive. Note they also serve Italian food?! Everyone today was eating Indian food, which was well presented for a local restaurant and tasted even better. In fact, I prefer the food here to the Indian resto on the nearby High Street. We’d come back for the Indian food but ordering Italian food here wouldn’t make sense — maybe you’ll try it and surprise us all! Service was ok but nothing special.

This place was a Thai place but then I think the owners changed and is now a Indian, Thai, Italian place. For all intent and purposes, treat it as a Indian place. I for one can’t figure out why they decided to install a pizza oven. Especially when the pizzas have no Indian/Thai fusion toppings. The Indian food is excellent, and the reason why it should be treated as an Indian restaurant. The Thai, well they closed for a reason, and Italian food is bad, just forget it’s on the menu. It is only a block away from from High and Center street, but actually far enough away from foot traffic that deters most people. I think their peak is lunch where they have specials for the local school kids at around $ 50. So taking all that into account, the reason why it only got 3 stars, is the price. A non special, regular menu entrée item runs around $ 80. It’s small and does not come with starch. Plain white rice is $ 26 while the next step up, rice with mushrooms is $ 34. I’m not a big guy, but here, I need to eat two entrees with rice to get full. Making it around $ 200 for 1 person. Before drinks or dessert. In another part of town, with a nice view, sure. Here, with the Western Street traffic and car horns, no thanks.
