For dinner: the 4 course tasting menu(495HKD) What I like about tasting menus is that although each plate is a small serving, you do get some really tasty bites! As well as, feeling just satisfied instead of stuffed! The first course was an appetizer: A Contemporary style italian onion soup. So tasty. This is proabably the the course that I enjoyed the most! The second course was a pasta ravioli: 3 pieces. But each piece was so juicy! The ravioli had the juices inside so each bite was very tasty. The 3rd course was the main iberico pork. My husband had it 80% cooked but I had it well done. Even if my course was well cooked, I actually thought that it was still tender. A bit on the salty side, but still alright. The 4th course was a dessert: They called it Cheesecake Espuma. It’s not a regular traditional«cheesecake» so don’t expect that. I do like that the dessert was not too sweet! They also are a part of the Mondays 2 for 1 deal!

this is a solid place for lunch. I don’t love that it’s in a basement but overall atmosphere and ambiance is good. food is tasty and set lunches are a good deal.

My first time here was a few years ago, attracted by the handmade spaghetti which I expected to be very tender and special, however turned out the portion is a bit small. That’s why there is little chance for me to bring my friend here. To be frank the quality is superb — high quality spaghetti, with unique choice of ingredient and sauces. I’m impressed by the chef’s dedication and thoughtfulness(if not too exaggerated).

Since when is it hard to fail Pemberton. Finally we went with super Monday card for but one get one free deal. Pasta is so tempting! Particularly that chitarra that no one has heard of. Turns out a heavily ‘crab’ loaded plate. Rich and creamy. The crispy black cod layered upon mashed potatoes with grilled mushroom by side is decent. Spring chicken roast with nice gravy sauce cooked just right. Lamb is a bit too well done… Vanilla pudding is definitely a thumbs up :) Service is okay considering how many staff they have in house. May go back!

We didn’t start off on the right foot — was here few years ago when it first opened. Thought the food was only so so, not as rich as I expect Italian food to be and not as hearty either. So two years later, I am back again because my classmates want to have dinner and there is a Super Mondays deal here(2 for 1 mains). We got two of each of the mains: Rib eye, Spring Chicken and Seafood. And I was pleasantly surprised. The rib eye was tender and flavorful, and as a bonus, it came with the bone marrow, which i absolutely love, so that was a huge treat for me. The chicken was tender and the sauces and juice were plentiful, while the skin was charred and crispy. The seafood was not as outstanding, basically it was a shrimp-clam duo on a bed of mashed potatoes. Not very flavorful but average or better I think. The vibe is quite good, it feels slightly classy, but not so stuffy you feel like you have to lower your voice, feels like somewhere you can have a lively conversation in. Actually would be a chill first date place. Remember that, guys. Finally, if you do Super Mondays, it is a really good deal. There were 5 of us, we only ordered mains, 6 of them to be exact, and a bottle of red. The bill was only 350 each. This place doesn’t have service charge, so we each put in an extra 30 each as a token of appreciation. Do check it out if you’re looking for a fun, chill night.

I can only go to this place when I am quite famished, ‘cos this place is full of carbs and the portion quite big, but their pasta is quite nice indeed. At dinner time they offer appetizer/pasta combo and appetizer or half-sized pasta/main combo at reduced price and a few wines are available for carafe selection at reasonable price too.

To me, pasta, well noodles in general, is just a food that I simply cannot resist. No matter how full I am, put a plate of noodles, pasta, with or without soup in front of me and you can bet your top dollar that I will slurp every last noodle until it’s gone. Needless to say, with my obsessive passion for pasta, last night was my second time at Doppio Zero in a week. I must say my second time there was even a better experience than my first. I think this place is a great choice for large gatherings. It’s a casual yet just sophisticated enough for an amazing ambiance. Not to mention, comfort food. Who doesn’t like to gather up friends and go to a super chill spot where theres good, reasonably priced, COMFORTFOOD? Doppio Zero is famous for their pasta. They serve a la carte pasta, and antipasti as well as their Pasta Tasting menu, which I obviously opted for. ALDENTE, is an understatement. Perfectly Al dente were each of the pasta dishes that came out. Perfectly portioned to taste and enjoy, amongst the varieties were(My fav) Tagliatelle, Spaghettini and Linguine in clam sauce. I was clearly in heaven. Accompany this with great wine, good conversations and knowledgeable service from the staff, I was a pretty happy camper. I learned that«00» is the finest flour to make pasta and Doppio Zero’s pasta is of this kind, freshly made everyday. For the antiPasti, we got the fried truffled oysters,(when I read that, it was a no-brainer.) Medium-rare rib-eye steak with Bone Marrow, with baby cabbage and brussel sprouts as sides. Steak was tender and packed with flavour. Veggies had a kick to it, a little spicy,(may want to inform waiter to tone down on spiciness for those who can’t take the heat.) Last but not least, I’d have to say that the squid Ink pasta was my favourite. Pasta-Al-dente, the sauce was flavourful, tangy and just right, the squid was chewy but tender. I loved it. Being it was my friends birthday, the attentive staff asked me for his name and thoughtfully had it written out on the Yin Yang desert. It’s Caramel Ice cream, where you pour coffee into it. The mixture of hot and cold, and bitter and sweet fully satiated all the receptors on our taste buds. We all left very merrily and everyone thanked me for making a good choice. I highly recommend this place for birthdays or just a night out on the town for good old comfort food.
