Came here last night for a late dinner with the Wifey! This place has some great tasting burgers as well as a lot of other American food. It makes you wonder if the owner is either from Texas or has lived in Texas. Anyhow I would highly recommend this hidden little gem to anybody visiting or living in Hong Kong that’s craving a good burger… don’t go to McDonald’s come to Texas burgers and get any of the burgers on the menu, you won’t regret it.

Thought they are rather good. Anyway, I’m a burger lover. Would be great if they offer more pickles.

I’m not from Texas, and I’ve never had a burger in the Big State(which was a surprising realization), so I can’t speak to the accuracy of this establishment’s name. But I am from Los Angeles, which is a burger town, so I do know a thing or two about burgers. I also know I’d been traveling with my family for 90 or so days without so much as a decent burger. We’ve had burgers in Panama, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, and even on Easter Island, and all were, somewhat, and sometimes surprisingly, lacking. I was really missing a proper burger and didn’t think I’d be able to get one until I returned to Los Angeles in nine months, but then, purely by chance, we saw Texas Burger glowing like a beacon on Electric Road in Tin Hau. Intrigued by the name, we had to check it out. We strolled in at lunch time and got a table straight away. I had the Cashel Blue Burger(I’m always a sucker for a blue cheese burger, so it slightly beat out the Pulled Pork Burger, which I don’t think is really a burger but whatever) and one daughter had the Double-Cheese Burger. Both were quite tasty, although perhaps cooked a little more than I prefer. But that’s okay – when traveling, overcooked beef is better than undercooked. My other daughter ordered the Chicken & Bacon Burger(which, again, wasn’t really a burger; it was more like a chicken-and-bacon sandwich); it was pretty good, too. We also shared some(very thin) fries and some deep-fried mozzarella sticks. Here’s what I can tell you about this place: 1. Cash only. 2. Small, maybe eight tables total. 3. After you’re seated, you order at the counter, not at the table. 4. Get there early or be prepared to wait. We arrived right after opening and easily got a table, but by the time we left, the line outside was pretty long. 5. If you’re looking for a decent(North) American-style hamburger in Hong Kong, Texas Burger can help you out.
