Great responsive service and friendly. Good choice of beer(including cider) which is useful. Food was on the little disappointing side. Went for the pork sandwich with teriyaki, jalapeños and lots of other mouth watering ingredients. Unfortunately it sounded nicer than it was. I will go back as I’m sure I just chose the wrong thing from the menu

You know it’s good when you spend 15 minutes trying to decide what to get! Stepped in for dinner with two girl friends and we ordered three entrées and a drink. I got the grilled mac and cheese sandwich($ 88HKD), which sounded unassuming, but I was blown away by the gooey cheesy deliciousness– it’s flavorful, yet not too rich and heavy. The tomato bisque on the side also added the perfect touch of sweetness. Pretty much my idea of heaven on a plate! My friends ordered a Fuji Apple Salad and a Double Cheeseburger. I took a bite of the salad and it tasted fruity and fresh but the portion was on the smaller side, so perhaps order this for brunch or a light meal? Didn’t try the cheeseburger but I had some of the duck fat fries and they’re super tasty. We also got a pitcher of their Plum Mojito($ 52 for a glass, $ 128 for a pitcher) and it did not disappoint! The tanginess of the plums with the lime juice and fresh mint leaves really hit it out of the park. Highly recommend this one! The White Sangria looked amazing too… ah well, next time I visit HK. Overall, the ambience is hip and trendy, service is relatively fast, food and drinks are great. Only thing to be mindful of is it gets pretty busy around dinner time. when we were leaving at 7:30 there was a long queue. Arrive early to hopefully avoid a long wait!

I wanted to love it– and I almost did, but whoever was in the kitchen today wasn’t on their A game. I will definitely be back to give it another try because it had all the makings of a great meal. The setting is open and light. Service is very attentive. The bottomless lemonade was a highlight. I ordered the grilled romaine(gem) salad with quail egg, brussel sprouts, lemon chickpeas, crispy garlic and shaved Romano. I think it would have been delicious if the kitchen didn’t dump waaaaay too much dressing on top. It made it soggy fast and killed all the delicious crispness that would have made the salad wonderful. Suggestion: order the dressing on the side. I also had the cheesy corn fries. They arrived lukewarm(at best) and the delicious toppings made the fries soggy and a bit messy to eat. Suggestion: ask for these to served in a hot skillet they use for other dishes with the condiments on the side for dipping. The Nest looked amazing. I would order that next time!

Perfect place for chilling in Saturday afternoon. We, two girls, ordered a hamburger set with extra avocado, extra mushroom. The burger is good, in this price range. Of course there’s always better beef if willing to pay more. But the chips is amazing, a bit of spicy and crispy. Lemonade is unlimited refill, staff with smile and good service. The little sweet treat, candied orange peel tasted great. Too bad I didn’t take photo of it. Suggest to come before 7pm if you don’t want to queue up.

What an awesome concept restaurant! R&B stands for«Research & Bakery,» but don’t let the name mislead you. Bakery is the least of what they are — they are a full-service restaurant with an extensive menu of lunch/dinner fare of the«comfort food» variety. They also have an adequate(but by no means extensive) selection of beer/wine/cocktails. Wine is limited to single-serving bottles; I ordered a glass of white wine and got an airplane-sized bottle of Gallo. .. which is actually decent truth be told. Cocktails are limited to a bloody mary and margarita — both of which are actually twists on the traditional classic, thus consistent with the«experimental» nature of the menu. Ambience was nice and low-key. Keeping in theme with the«R&B» name, they played only R&B as background music, which — let’s all just admit it – you can’t help but groove out to as you sit there noshing on amazing comfort food. Every menu item sounded incredible; reading the menu immediately had me planning out my next half dozen visits. I had the corn and the uni gnocchi. The corn was served on the cob with plenty of butter, seasoning, and shredded cheese(!!!); it was amazing, and shockingly not-that-messy. The uni gnocchi was actually my first venture into the land of uni; incredibly rich and delicious — reminiscent of a soft macaroni and cheese dish with a distinct richness from the uni. To finish, I grabbed a piece of the peanut butter/marshmallow cheesecake to go. This dessert was a soft cheesecake incorporating a crunchy peanut butter flavor, and it was topped with a layer of chocolate and, on top of that, a layer of toasted marshmallow. .. all encased within a thick graham cracker crust. Holy Mother of God. This is the dessert to end all desserts: a ménage à trois of 1) a freshly toasted s’more, 2) a homemade peanut butter cup, and 3) a homemade cheesecake. .. all three of which made sweet sweet love together and birthed this beautiful baby of a mind-blowing dessert. Perfect with a coffee or cappuccino(also available on the menu). I will definitely be back again. And again. And again. And again. And again. .. .. ..
