Ovolo Noho

Ovolo Noho is a boutique hotel that I would not hesitate to recommend for you all to stay in. Before I talk about all the excellent features of this hotel, these are the FREE things that are included with room: Breakfast, WiFi, Self-​laundry, Happy Hour Cocktails, and Mini-​bar Drinks (a feature which I will elaborate later on).
This Ovolo is the best location to be at in Central! It’s about a 5 minute walk from Sheung Wan MTR (remember to take the A2 exit). There is a supermarket near the hotel and a 24-​hour McDonald’s is across the street. Also, there are many local restaurants nearby to satiate your dimsum, duck rice or wanton noodle soup cravings. Best of all, walk up the flight of stairs next to the hotel and you find yourself in the hippest part of Central! The receptionists here are very cheerful, helpful, and friendly! Ask them about the best places to be in the area and they will gladly map it out for you. :)
The rooms are very cozy and simple! Yes, they are quite small but perfect for solo travelers! They utilized the space perfectly that you don’t feel too cramped in the room. My most favorite features about my stay here: 1) Their amazing WiFi! Not only do you have WiFi in your room, they give you your own user name and password for free mobile WiFi in the city (no extra charge)! 2) The complimentary Happy Hour Cocktails in the lobby area. You get wine, beer, whiskey, soda, etc. + nachos, cheese and other nibbles. You can go here everyday during you stay here. 3) The BEST feature, ALL drinks in the mini-​bar are FREE! The first time I stayed here, I completely avoided the mini-​bar. I mean, mini-​bars in other hotels have a fee. On the third to the last day of my stay, the staff asked me if anything is wrong with the mini-​bar. Puzzled, I told them there was no problem; I just didn’t want to pay for the drinks. The receptionist told me, «Ma’am, you can drink as much as you want! We were concerned because our staff told us they hadn’t replenished your mini-​bar yet.» WHUUUT?! Yes, you can drink all the drinks at the mini-​bar in one night and they will fill it up again the next day! UH-​MAZING! (I’ll be honest, after I found out about the free mini-​bar, I drank both Tsingtao beers + Coke that night. Hehe!) OH! You also get a cute loot bag with snacks + a tote bag as a welcome gift! Super useful! :)
Overall, I love this hotel and I would definitely stay here the next time I visit HK. Remember though, this is an excellent choice if you’re going to HK on your own.
Quick Tip: Ovolo Noho is right across McDonald’s; look out for a sign with the letter «O».

I really enjoyed this hotel. Perks include complimentary mini bar, snacks, canvas tote bag, AppleTV, fast wifi, free happy hour from 6 – 8 PM, and even access to hotspots around the city!
Room 1003 was perfect for me as I was traveling solo. If you have large suitcases and another companion, it may feel tight, especially the bathroom.
Location-​wise, it’s about a 7 – 10 minute walk from the Sheung Wan station, and you’ll have to walk on some cramped streets to get there so travel lightly if you take public transportation.
My rate included free breakfast, but the spread was nothing to shout about. It was very western, with cereals, eggs, bacon, lots of bread, and some fruit. I was a fan of the ginger shot, though– a nice way to wake up in the morning!
