Mura Teppanyaki

This is not the teppanyaki experience you get in North America. Don’t expect the ‘show’ aspects like the onion volcano, tossing shrimp bits into the chef’s hat and huge flames. Come here for top quality food with crazy good and fresh ingredients!
The pictures will describe better than words but if you like seafood, the options are great. Huge scallops, live abalone (okay, that part was a bit disturbing… they cook the abalone live so it’s wiggling to get off the cooking surface…), snails… The meats are equally good, super thinly sliced ribeye which is cooked and then wrapped with garlic chips and scallions and then placed on a piece of bread (it’s meant to soak up the oil but I guess you could eat it too!). They also did toasted bread with tons of butter and then added sugar which caramelized. So easy but so good!
Epic meal! No idea how people find this place. It’s really small, on the 3^rd floor of a building and doesn’t seem to have a website that I could find at least. The room we were in was private and I’m not sure if all the rooms are like that. They have good ventilation too even though they cook in front of you so you’re not too smelly after!
