Sandwiched between homemade soft buns with sesame on top, these insanely rich flavoured dessert is served with a side of churros that gave me a perfect ending to a friday night! oh we ordered 2 drinks, a glass of white and a glass of hot cocktail with cinnamon. the hot cocktail is rum based, not that great, still think mulled wine is the best hot cocktail ever!

What a disappointment! After hearing raving reviews from my friends and seeing some scrumptious photos, I figured I must pay this place a visit to enjoy the amazing view and the delicious food for myself! There are no reservations– you wait in line or if you don’t want to wait you can go downstairs to the restaurant where they will also serve you tea. However, there is no view downstairs so the main lounge is way more worth it.
Upon sitting down, I ordered the intercontinental tea set and an iced mango tea for my drink. The drink was good– they even have brown sugar ice cubes which are super cool! When the food arrived, I was impressed. Presentation was beautiful, the scones were nice and hot, and there were three different jams and creams for the scones. At first bite, the scones were delicious. Not enough clotted cream, but we definitely enjoyed the scones. So far so good!
Then– disappointment. The sandwiches were barely better than awful! The sandwich filling was stuffed inside a pastry, and it was cold. Soft, chewy, and cold. I did not like how the server did not even explain what was what– and there was no description on the menu. So I had no idea what I was eating. Ick. Dessert next– desserts were okay, but nothing special. Seems like they just buy a bunch of desserts pre packaged and put one of each on the tea tray. Meh.
Food was definitely a 2 stars for me– literally «meh, I’ve experienced better.» However, presentation and the amazing view bumps it up to a three as well as the service, which was up to par.
