Yummy, chewy, fresh, cheap and hot pastries! A lot of variety. Definitely try it out!

I stumbled upon this place while I(or should I say my friend) was shopping at the Fa Yeun Street. You know how many cheap things you may find there, so I am not surprised my friend brought me there to see him shop. Anyways, as I was sweating like a pig and being extremely annoyed with my friend’s indecision, I smelled something. It came from a small bakery, little did I know that this is actually one of the most famous local bakeries in Hong Kong. Lucky me. All their freshly baked goods are of strong Chinese characteristics and a bite of those will bring you back to your childhood(of course if only you were born here). One of its signature dishes is red bean pancake. Since it gets served right from the oven, the outside is very hot and a little but crispy. Unlike elsewhere when it is all pre-cooked and the texture becomes very soft. The softness and the crispiness blend very well. Because of the glutinous rice flour, it is very sticky in a good way. If this kind of ‘mochi’ is not your favourite, try the Chinese ‘cookies’. What I mean is Walnut Biscuit, baby chicken cakes, you name it and they have it all. The best part is all is just HKD$ 3 per piece. One of so many reasons why this place is highly recommended by both locals and tourists. Notice that they definitely do not have English menu, but trust your nose, or your guts. You will not be disappointed.
