Hui Lau Shan

Aiiiii, if you’re a lover of desserts, swing by any of these one branches of Hui Lau Shan. This place is armed with pretty interesting desserts. Often packed and busy, I highly recommend trying to get a seat inside the restaurant and take your time in looking over the menu.
With various offerings of ice cream, milk like products, fruit and such, it can be pretty difficult to know what to pick. If you like durian, there are a few dishes that involve that as a main ingredient. For me, I tried a couple of the desserts and it was all so tasty.
Prices here are moderate, and for this particular location, I was surprised at how big it was inside! Service here is prompt and nice, and the portions aren’t big enough to share though.

I came here with some girlfriends while visiting Hong Kong based on a recommendation from our hostess when we wanted some dessert. We got a variety of mango desserts, but my favorite was the mango mochi! It was rolled in coconut flakes, which I love, so it easily stole my heart. If only I had ordered more to go!

The one with coconut milk is less sweet. Definitely enjoyed the straight mango and sago one — tasty!
Too bad there aren’t any locations on my side of the world ;(

This is what my friend told me when I first know about this dessert place. I fell in love with the it immediately after, the dessert is definitely healthier than most places and not only that its delicious and has many tempting desserts that often hard for me to decide.
Like a café, just find a table then place an order with either a waitress or waiter. Enjoy your dessert once it comes. Normally its not as crowded as Australian Dairy so do no not worry about the crowd especially there are so many outlets and trust me, this is a a good alternative if you are tired of Milk Puddings and other traditional Hong Kong dessert.
Its specialise in mango dessert and I love mangoes, which one is my favourite? Tough choice really but the one I picked often is the bowl of fruits with watermelon and mango juice. Dipping the fruits into the juice makes it even nicer. I would also recommend the smoothie, I can’t find a better place that sell such good ones.
So get yourself over here and give this a try! Hong Kong is a place for food and this is certainly one of them.
