I did not like the egg tart. However, I do not think I will ever like an egg tart. As far as egg tarts go the crust was buttery, nice egg taste. I did love the pistachio angle food cake. Light and fluffy with a hint of pistachio.

I googled the best egg tarts in Hong Kong and someone had this list of four places. Hoover’s egg tart was on the list but it was ranked the lowest out of the four. But this place was relatively close to where I was staying in Hong Kong, so I decided to check it out. The place is super small that you can’t really go inside. All the pastry offerings are displayed so that you can view them from outside and then you just tell the ladies inside what you want. I didn’t see the egg tarts right away, but they were actually right by the door. I got one at $ 7HKD. The egg tart was fresh and hot and it was super tasty. I kind of wish I had gotten a second one.

I was told this place has the BEST egg tarts in Hong Kong. Well, tasted PRETTY damn good to me. But then again, pretty much all the old school bakeries that sell egg tarts tastes amazing to me. So… you’re just have to try this place for your self.

So yummy!!! We hiked across town to have the best egg tart in Hong Kong. It did not disappoint! We managed to get there just as they were taking them out of the oven. I got far more than I planned but I’m glad I did. Everyone loved them.
