How relaxing it is to stand right in front of the large CD player and to fully immerse in the beats! Before Spotify became in vogue, I loved buying albums. I had more than 10 albums bought in just 3 years when I was still a secondary student. I did save up in an attempt to buy some! If I have to choose between the local large-scale CD stores, I’ll prefer HMV as it provides a more diverse range of music. Among the seven HMV branches, I’ve been to the one in Telford Plaza most. It’s the nearest one from my home(sadly there isn’t any in the New Territories!). I still remember when Taylor Swift was a great hit in Hong Kong, I was thrilled that she was going to have her new Speak Now album released and the very first live concert in the city! My friend and I ordered some cheap tickets but with good seats(which were actually next to the second expensive tickets!). When I searched for the details of the album on the HMV website, I found that pre-ordering it could be given a FREE8R Taylor Swift photo. Later when the album was officially released I knew that various CD stores offered different kinds of files. I thought I’d just be given the free photo together with the CD. But it wasn’t the fact! I GOTBOTH! After I handed in the online invoice at the Telford store I collected a bag of CD, as well as the extra file, photo and concert poster FORFREE! I couldn’t really use words describe how happy I was. In short I just became crazy! At that night I posted a picture of my new Speak Now collection(together with the concert tickets!) on Facebook and caught lots of envious hearts! Even though now I had Spotify, I still love to go to the store. Looking at those tangible CDs do make everything more concrete! Here you can find some less mainstream or popular albums, like my current crush’s;)
