Came here on a Saturday night, around 10 – 11 pm. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a place and it felt longer, just because we could see how the waffles, etc. were being made from the window. First, service is good and we weren’t rushed, despite there still being a long line outside. I got the green tea waffles with syrup and red beans, it took about 20 minutes to come out and tasted great though the matcha taste wasn’t overly bitter. Would definitely return.

Mongkok is pretty evil for foodies… After the chicken hotpot just 30 seconds away, we unanimously agreed to have desserts afterwards. We didn’t know which one is the best(there were at least 3 dessert shops around), so what we did, hilariously, was to pick the one with the longest queue… I know, so not my style to queue, especially I know that there is another shop in Causeway Place that you less likely to have to queue. Anyway. Décor was really nice and cozy, but it couldn’t get away with the fact that they are located in Mongkok, so space is just a concern and it’s quite packed, downstairs and upstairs. No wifi, because they encourage you guys to talk to each other, but I bet most of the locals got their own data plan. Dessert were amazing though. My friends tried three different flavors of soufflé and I tried the chocolate waffle. Soufflé would take up to 30mins to make, so be aware. My waffle was ready first, and you know, sharing is caring, so my friends all had a bite of the waffle before their soufflé arrived. It was good, not the best waffle I ever had but I wouldn’t complain after I just had a chicken hotpot. Chocolate flavor + chocolate sauce + syrup + chocolate ice cream was NOT too much for me. The more chocolate the merrier, to be honest. Anyway, I wouldn’t have queued if it’s not for my friends, but it was totally worth it.

If there is one thing I miss about living in Asia, is the novel names they put on restaurants, especially the new ones. He She Eat? What the heck is that? The best way I can explain it is with their logo. They’re pink lips, with a manly handlebar mustache inside it. It’s confusing as hell, but it just screams: guys, bring your ladies and let’s get dessert or vice versa. HeSheEat is a dessert spot. It is a small eatery and often during weekends has a long line coming out. It’s one of the better dessert spots in Kowloon and quite easy to find. If you ever lived in Hawaii(which I do), you’ll find that this place reminds you a little of a place called The Litttle Oven. Even the desserts are of the same style. My favorite there are the Kahlua and Baileys soufflé. It’s served with a side scoop of cookies and cream ice cream. Their banana waffle is another great choice and is a lighter alternative. It’s a perfect post first date spot after dinner to wind down and continue a chat so remember to save yourself some room after dinner!
