Global Work is another Japanese fashion brand that has made it in HK. Their style is distinctly Japanese, but a little more toned down so you can expect less frills and other ‘girly’ touches. The Global Work at New Town Plaza spans two floors — the second and third floor — with the second floor being a lot more spacious. Global Work has got everything from men’s fashion to women’s to accessories to kids’ stuff. The women’s section is obviously larger — the stuff on the second floor is more formal and appropriate for work, whereas the third floor is a lot more casual. Accessories and kids’ clothes are on the second floor too. The kids’ clothes are pretty cute and are good quality too. As for accessories, they have jewelry, bags and shoes but in my opinion they’re nothing too special. The women’s clothes are decent, though I find that some of their tops are overly baggy and have really wide cuts. I notice that it’s hard to come by a size small — most of what I see is in mediums and larges. They have a fair share of basics, like solid-colored tanks and t-shirts too. Prices here aren’t cheap, but aren’t too expensive either. Actually, prices here, and the styles too, are similar to Japanese fashion store Collect Point. The third floor is always much more packed than the second floor as there’s just a lot more female clothes on the third floor. I don’t understand why they don’t spread it out more — the second floor is so much bigger and there’s tons of empty spaces!
