Essential Spa

I’ve been to Essential Spa once and did the ‘water radiance facial treatment’ ($ 520). It was during the winter months, and my skin was feeling especially taut and dry so I decided to treat myself to a facial. I looked online at different spas, looking through their ‘menus’ and decided on Essential Spa, mainly because it was comparatively cheaper than the others, and the ‘water radiance facial treatment’ sounded quite promising for my rather dry skin. I made a booking by filling out a form on their website, and they gave me a call the next day to confirm the booking. I appreciated the phone call confirmation because I’m always skeptical that these online bookings don’t go through.
My first impression was that the spa was much bigger than I had imagined. It had a middle area for manicures and pedicures, and the changing rooms were quite spacious. Everything was very clean and neat too. The facial was, as its name suggests, very hydrating. I however didn’t really like that the facialist did not do much to remove the blackheads on my nose — that’s usually the part of the facial I look forward to the most in a way because I can actively feel a difference being made to my skin. I was a bit disappointed by that, but otherwise, I enjoyed the facial and could definitely feel that hydration had been restored to my skin after it. The facial was good, but I wouldn’t say it was spectacular — maybe if it were a little cheaper I’d consider going again!
