This is a definite stop every time I’m in Happy Valley. The dim sum is what sets this place apart — fresh ingredients, innovative dishes. Easily accessible by public transportation and friendly service!

Hands down, one of the best local dimsum places in HK! We come here every time we visit HK. The food is amazingly fresh and the staff is extremely friendly. I can’t even describe which items are my favorite, ranging from the HUMUNGOUS siu mai or the flakey, crusted egg tarts. Hubby always orders the pork chop, but seriously, even if you can’t read Chinese, you can get the menu that only has pictures and order like that. This is not just a dim sum restaurant. Dinner is equally delicious and we have sampled a wide variety of their menu ranging from daily soup to soy sauce chicken. I think our favorite is the sweet and sour pork because it’s lean, no weird dye coloring, and just way tastier than anything you would get in the states. Also, the veggie rice in a bamboo container. Their dinner dishes remind me of a home cooked meal with your grandparents. I miss eating here and can’t wait to go back during our next trip back to HK. This is also a kid-friendly restaurant as we have taken our 2 young kids here. They love the food and will eat their share and then some more. Be prepared for a long wait or call ahead to reserve a table!

The former Mrs. E. is a denizen of Happy Valley, and she introduced me to this restaurant(yes, it has a rather clumsy name in English — she assures me the Chinese name is also clumsy). What isn’t clumsy is the food. The dim sum is leaps and bounds better than the dim sum found at the nearby Golden Valley. My favorite dishes are the squid and pork(I don’t know the Chinese name but I’ll post a photo), and the char siu sou. I’m definitely a fan.
