Chiu Yuen Restaurant

We were originally going to a Beijing dumpling restaurant, but upon arrival, we discovered that it had closed and turned into another restaurant that serves western food.
Alas, we had to try this restaurant and boy were we disappointed. Their food actually isn’t that bad. I had bitter melon with spare ribs over rice and that was pretty tasty. My friends had egg plant with minced meat and a sizzling plate with chicken steak. The issues were definitely with their service. We ordered two drinks and only one came. When my friend’s drink finally came, it wasn’t what she ordered. Her sizzling plate also came with a soup that didn’t come until we asked for it. When her sizzling plate finally arrived after 15 – 20 minutes, the chicken was under cooked. The most awful part of it all is that they didn’t apologize for the delayed /​wrong drink, lack of soup, or undercooked chicken.
If you have other choices for food, I would definitely skip this cha caan teng.

Sraight up 茶餐廳 with meals about 50 – 70. Clean/​Formica décor. Happy staff & Jade on TV. Near sports center so good for pre/​post games cause they close after mid night.
