Those who read my reviews will probably realize one thing: I’m not a big fan of cookies. I should explain myself a little bit here– I’m just not too keen on snacks in general. So this has nothing to do with whether I like buttery cookies or not. However, I do have a soft spot for this shop– Cherikoff. This is a bakery by name but a cookie maker in essence. This shop goes back a long way and I’m not too sure when this particular branch opened– fact is that I have always been here since I was a kid. My mother is a massive cookie fan and she has always brought back with her the small plastic bag of piping hot cookies. I would have trouble saying that I didn’t dip my hands into that bag as well. The cookies are very buttery with different flavours such as chocolate and coffee– both of which are quite nice. The prices are very fair too compared to some of the extortionate cookie stores outside. The other item its famed for is the nougats, its a sweet item that I have never tried but people go all the way to Macau to buy it so it can’t be too bad. As for the other bakery items, I am happy to report that all the different bread items on offer are very nice and the taste of freshly baked items is very nice indeed. For me its a trip down memory lane– for others its a place for a buttery treats.
