Craving a salad after touring Asia for a couple of weeks and found this place. They hand toss salads after you pick the ingredients. This was just what I wanted and was so delish! I ended up putting about 14 topping on my lettuce, so it was quite expensive but worth it.

Café Met in Pacific Place is an odd place, that I’m not sure if I love or hate. It’s basically a coffee shop that does a lot of white collar workers lunch food. It is supposed to be a high volume, fast service joint, that pumps through the punters like a New York deli, but I personally have never seen it so busy that it reminds me of NYC. The food offering is large and eclectic, offering; pasta, mini pizzas, salads, rotisserie and carvery, sandwiches, paninis, breakfast, and Asian curries, rices, and noodles — yep, a little bit of everything. To be fair, the food is perfectly good and reasonably priced(at around HKD50 for a sandwich, HKD60 for a curry) for a lunch crowd. I wouldn’t eat my dinner here. It’s easy to get a table here, as mentioned before I never see it that busy, and most times the staff outnumber the guests. I am surprised that they can cover their costs in such a prime location in PP. The ambience is pleasant enough, it is after all a café in a shopping centre, and with the open frontage onto the mall, it’s had to forget that when you visit. What I do like is the random pillars that seem to protrude through the restaurant. These create hidden areas, which are actually quite comfortable to tuck yourself into, especially if you want to do some work, or want to eek out that single coffee without being bothered, while you wait for the cinema. Service is pay at counter, they will bring to your table if your dish require preparation.
