This is not the most exciting slope, by all means! But as a beginner, I am a fan! This is an indoor ski and snowboard slope with a very warm and cozy lounge. They have a beginner slope for adults and another one for children and one main slope. When I went, they were doing some maintenance on the left lift, but the right lift is really designed for skiers so as a novice snowboarder it’s somewhat of a hassle to hold on to get to the top but not too difficult. We are dealing with artificial snow, so it’s mostly ice with a thin layer of snow, as with all indoor ski slopes! Falling is guaranteed to hurt if you don’t have the proper protection! They have different price schemes for different people, seasons, etc. Renting a snowboard or skis with boots will only cost you € 8.50 for the whole day. If you have a skipass, the use of materials is included. The lockers are of solid build and a single locker can store my motorcycle jacket, helmet, size 13 boots and a backpack. So spacious enough, I’d say! The locker is € 1 and you won’t get it back but you can open and close it as much as you want with a code you get so no worries about losing the key. The lounge is probably their best feature. It’s really awesome looking! Unfinished wood, leather chesterfield couches, wooden furniture, hides, etc. Some of the tables are at the huge windows looking out at the slopes. The lounge area is open to the public. You only scan your card or ticket once you go through the locker and material rental area before you enter the slope. For me, as a student, it would cost me € 450 per year which I can pay in instalments of € 112.50 per quarter. This will give me a skipass for a whole year from the moment I sign up. This includes unlimited use of the slope including weekends and holidays and unlimited use of materials without an extra fee! Sounds like a great deal since it’s only 25 minutes away from where I live(Tuindorp, Amsterdam Noord) so this is a great way for me to pick this sport up! I think I’m going for it! Check it out, if you’re a novice. You might find it boring if you’re more experienced.
