I used to come to this place because their food is really good and accessible in terms of price. However today I was surprised that they have increased their prices by 50% during the Tour de France weekend. You can compare the online menu. Even though they are expecting that visitors will pay accordingly, it is a disrespect to old customers. There are better ways to do business.

My husband enjoyed the curry-​worst. I had the cheese fondue which was pretty good. Not a large beer selection but the beers we had were good. We split an order of strudel. I would highly recommend the strudel. The service is more attentive than other restaurants. We didn’t have to search for a server to flag down if we wanted anything. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

At Kartoffel, you can get a big plate of German food for € 10. Half liter of beers are € 5. They are practically giving food away for those prices.
The food is pretty good (not amazing) & the atmosphere is slightly German with some modern touches. They also let you control the jukebox with your smartphone.
Nice place for an inexpensive but filling dinner and beers with friends. Will be back.
