This is a really great little place! We had a party of 5 and called on Thursday and got a Saturday reservation at the 6pm seating. The food was all nicely prepared and plated. We needed a bit of extra salt but everything was great. The servers spoke enough English to explain the menu and help us choose courses. I would come here again! It’s loud when full, so beware.

They run a colourful household here with just two simple house rules. Rule number one: dinner is either at 18.00 or 21.00. Rule number two: there is no menu apart from a 3 course dinner with a choice in starters, mains and desserts.
Welcome to Restaurant Zinc’s dinner party where everybody is a friend. Known for their French cuisine but without that high and mighty attitude. Zinc staff have created a relaxed atmosphere where you will eat and feast for a modest price.
The place could well be the result of a long journey abroad. Along the way they picked up pots, pans, eclectic furniture and above all inspiration for memorable recipes. Could this journey have stretched as far as the Caribbean as some dishes definitely have a flavour of this continent. You are in luck if mashed potato is on the menu. The mash comes from another planet and you will be sorely temped to pick up your plate and walk into the kitchen for a second helping. Do not fret. These are generous portions and the chef will happily drop another spoonful on your plate without asking. Yes, this little bistro is in a little corner of Rotterdam in an area that could well function as your own French hide-​a-​way and it so happens that they have joined the 32,50 Club which makes this place even more worth checking out!

Perhaps one of the best restaurants I have eaten in in the Netherlands. Small, great menu (nothing to look at, they tell you the menu verbally), nice wine selection, good prices, delicious. I could go on and on.
Great dessert wine, great desserts, the type of place that you can just sit at with friends and enjoy. I had an amazing time and meal here, highly recommend!
