Sunday lunchtime the shopping centre was heaving with Sunday shoppers, La Place was pretty busy, but only two of the four cashdesks were open and there was a bottleneck at the coffee/​tea counter. All of this delay meant that my soup (quite nice mushroom soup, as it happened) was cold before I even got to my table. And the white bread roll with a tomato-​ey paint on the top tasted of nothing at all, not even of white bread and tomato paint.
I ordered a mint tea, which came in one of those big, trendy milk glasses without a handle, which meant it was too hot to pick up and drink. Expensive, badly organised, and poor quality bread. I’d rather not go back there. I don’t think they deserve my money.
