Imagine the roaring twenties with sailors and their sweethearts, musicians, travelers and artists dancing and tapping their feet on the floor of this former dance palace. A lot has changed but the buzz never left and so it reopened in the form of a theatre a few years ago. The outside still looks exactly the same but indoors the dancefloor made space for a stage for performances, stand up comedians, music and more of that jazz. With over 200 performances a year there is reason enough to check out what’s happening. Normally, they do not provide food but you can choose from a load of fab places left, right and centre. Their sunday breakfast matinees are marvelous and a good excuse to get you out of the door. And yes, this ones does come with breakfast. Make sure you book because it is nice and cosy in theatre Walhalla. As seen on I Know This Great Little Place in Rotterdam( )
