Our experience was overall average. When we arrived we asked for four places. The waiter asked to wait and went on doing… We saw at least two groups passing us with another waiter getting seated before ‘our waiter’ came back and seated us upstairs. We ordered our drinks immediatly but it took a long time for them to arrive only after I said that I would not order food before being sure that our drinks would arrive well before food the waitress went to look for them. Mojito was of good size and taste. The Margarita was average and of very small size. Food arrived after a not too long wait. We had spare ribs and the Popocatepetl combo and they were OK. We had the normal portion of spare ribs which was enough for children but also adults. The decoration is very colourfull, the staff not unfriendly but above all not passionate. The restaurant attracts groups so not so sure if I would come here for a night out as a couple.

Regular Mexican food. Its a franchise that you can find in a few cities in Holland. You’ll not taste the true feel of Mexico but you get a Mexican styles restaurant with all the stereotypes you want :) I’ve been here with a large group, they serve fast and food was ok. I frequently visit it for their terrace were you can have some fresh Corona and enjoy the sun. If you get hungry their finger food is quite good, specially the buffalo wings and Nachos.

This is NOT Mexican food. I don’t know what this is, but they shouldn’t be allowed to call themselves a Mexican restaurant. The décor looks convincing, but the moment you take a bite, your hopes are shattered. We went here a while back, and I ordered a molé dish. If you know Mexican food, you know that molé is a sauce made from cocoa. It is NOT the same as chocolate sauce, which is exactly what they poured over my dish. Disgusting. My husband was also disappointed with his meal. The black beans they served on the side were dry and completely tasteless. It’s like they just boiled and served them. I had to add some olive oil and salt in order to get them down. I’m from NYC and I’ve been to Mexico, so I know what Mexican food really is. I asked the waitress where the chef was from, and she said«Bonaire». Ridiculous. And even then, one would think that someone from Bonaire would at the very least be able to get black beans right. After I complained and said that I knew what Mexican food really was, the waitress had the nerve to smile and say I was«spoiled»… ??? Because I know the difference? I had to control the inner New Yorker in me. Sorry to break the news to all of you hoping to get some real Mexican grub in Rotterdam, but there’s only one place to get real Mexican food in this country, and it’s a little place called Los Pilones in Amsterdam.
