Buma Rotterdam Beats

Buma Rotterdam Beats is an international beat orientated festival in Rotterdam. If you are in the music industry or just a fan of electronic/​soul/​dance/​hiphop music it’s really worth paying a visit. They have a day– and night program (the day program is free of charge, just sign up via
in advance). During the day there are various q&a’s, panels and clinics. There is also an opportunity to bring your music and play it for important people in the music industry. There where beatpitches of TopNotch (Dutch Hiphop lable), FunX (Dutch Urban Radio station) and Atlantic Records. As an artist it’s a great opportunity to let your music be heard to a broad audience and offcourse to the professionals. The beatpitches are really entertaining (also when you don’t make music yourself), a good place to learn more about your music, music of others and the music industry.
Also during the panels and q&a’s you can ask questions, so take your advantage!
During the night program there are a lot of performances in various venues all over the city centre. A lot of upcoming artists as well as well known artists will do shows. My favorites where the shows of Hiatus Kayiote, Gery Mendes, Black Milk and Sevdaliza. There’s also a small outdoor stage where you can spot young talented hiphop artists (free of charge). So there’s plenty off cool stuff going on all the time! If you are an artist, this is your chance to network with professionals from all different countries and if you’re a music lover, there’s plenty of cool (new) music to check out. The atmosphere is great and you get a good impression of all the cool venues Rotterdam has to offer!
