Sumo

Great service, great value as it is all you can eat. But also all you can eat quality. Will be packed often.

We were in Hilversum for a birthday of family. We know and love Sumo in Den Haag and wanted to try this one as well.
It started out fine, with quick and friendly service. But as soon as it got busy service started to waver a bit. Though it was still acceptable.
We of course did the all you can eat and started out with a round of salad and Udon noodle soup. The soup was very good but the salad was too moist and lacked flavor.
Second round i chose all sushi and it was disappointing at best, it was all very bland. Especially the California roll was a let down, which is usually a flavor bomb.
On the third round i took to the skewers and fried stuff, but couldn’t be convinced. Only the lamb chops were excellent!
I think Den Haag has spoiled us, but Sumo Hilversum does not live up the high standards, although it was not bad and i would definitely give it a second chance.
