Bood Slagerij

Bood is an award-​winning butcher (they compete a lot to prove their quality) with some of the best quality meat I’ve seen in The Netherlands. Their premade dishes, which vary on a daily basis, are really delicious too and an easy alternative to take out or a frozen dinner. If you’re throwing a party or need a special cut of meat, don’t hesitate to talk to them about special orders, they can get you just about everything. Their summer BBQ platters are beautiful, as are their ‘gourmet-​schotels’ for raclette! They do a lot of other catering dishes too, with either meats you can easily prepare at home, or ready made hot dishes.
I love their store now too. Some years ago they remodeled it, and it looks beautiful now. Clean, modern, luxurious. Only problem is the price, like another Unilocaler said: their prices are as high as their quality.

I understand that this butcher has won awards for their lamb and the food here is of exceptional quality. They always have warm grilled sausage cut up to snack on while your waiting to be served.
The store has been doubled in size and refurbished (2011?) and there is now a larger selection of deli foods.
Two criticisms —
The price is as high as the quality
An excessive use of packaging (sometimes I feel that there is more packaging than product) — not so eco friendly.
