Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Europe this summer. What a treat. We ordered the ‘Surprise Menu’ for 35 € and were certainly not disappointed. Here was our menu for the night. Amuse bouche — steak tartare with quail egg Appetizer — Mussels on bed of pearl couscous 1st course — Steak and risotto Entrée — Grilled lamb with asparagus and beet root purée Dessert — Pistachio ice cream with fresh berries and panna cotta Not only did they include all of these dishes, but also served a cone of French fries and a small mixed salad for the table with the entrée. This was exactly what I needed — a slice of heaven in Elst.

I am a sole lover and here I was served one of the freshest, finest prepared sole that I have had. Menu was eclectic, wait staff outstanding and the food preparation was excellent. Quiet, not too formal nor too casual. A very pleasant find. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
