Pathé Spuimarkt

Not my favourite Pathé but you can’t beat the location in central Den Haag. The big draw of this cinema is the IMAX screen — just beware that the price for an IMAX ticket is higher than for a regular cinema ticket.
This Pathé had all the big Hollywood blockbusters and new releases, if you’re looking for more independent movies or film festival bait you’ll have more luck a little further up at the Pathé Buitenhof. But this cinema is relatively new, with big comfy seats and a very full agenda of showtimes.

Impersonal Cinema (you know I don’t like leaving my dearest Buitenhof castle of charm) but it will fulfill the purpose of seeing a movie. Good range and good salons. I’d say the younger kids hang here!

I didn’t expect an iMax or at least called that here in Den Hague, it’s just like movie theaters in the United States. They had some just out American movies and soon to be released movies like the up and coming Robocop movie and recent Star Trek: Into Darkness that came out. The movie rooms are a decent size and the crowd was perfect, not too crowded and or empty. It made for just the right room for seating. It’s a multiplex, you go up escalators. Original Dutch movies spoken in Dutch can be viewed with English subtitles and American movies with Dutch subtitles. I peaked in a few rooms but the ticket you buy, you’re really suppose to only go to that movie showing you pay for. It’s bright and there’s huge ads and displays of movies. Price for adults if my memory serves me correctly is E11 (E=Euros) and a few bucks cheaper for younger/​senior/​family tickets. You can buy like a package popcorn deal which includes soda. Ooh yeah Speculoos flavored popcorn… and other flavors like it.
It’s conveniently located on the corner of Spuimarkt near a street of all the Asian restaurants.

Wie angenehm, dass es in Holland Standard ist einen Film in Originalsprache zu zeigen! so kann man sich auch als nicht Holländer wirklich schöné Kinoabende machen. Und wenn man feststellen sollte, das der Film nichts ist, kann man sich köstlich über diese nette Sprache im Untertitel amüsieren :)

allerdings sind die preise schon sehr gesalzen!
das andere Pathé am Strand ist durch die Lage meiner Meinung nach etwas schöner, weil e eben am Strand liegt: p dafür liegt dieses mitten in der (kleinen)Stadt
