A friendly spot, with a small but solid selection of Dutch and Belgian beers and a varied food menu with interesting specials. Of particular note are the whole fish preparations, where the fish is expertly cooked and served on the bone. Delicious. A quiet and unpretentious gem where locals dine, not a tourist trap.

On my first trip to Holland, no less Delft, I was looking for someplace that represented the Dutch, but also a place locals would call home and, of course, with decent food and drink – oh, and walking distance from my hotel. On this criteria I generally scored. The place is small and English pub-like. The staff was friendly and attentive. An English menu was available for us non-Dutch. For my drink I had a Trappist ale on tap, La Trappe, that was just delicious. For appetizer I had olives; boring but good and reflected the limited appetizer menu and I didn’t feel like anything else. The dinner was the special of fish, pan fried Turbot. Nothing extraordinary fish wise, but cooked to perfection and delicious. It came with a modest Rocket(arugula) salad and chips(fries). Overall it was a pleasant experience, albeit with the«corner bar» atmosphere.

Best Crème Brûlée in Delft! Charming warm atmosphere with relaxing music in the background. Staff were so friendly and suggested wonderful meals that hit the spot. Full of local residents which made the experience a true Holland pleasure for us.
