Vegabond

We were headed to this one spot out in centraal, when we noticed the sign said closed. I quickly scrambled to Unilocal,to find another vegan place to eat. That’s when I found vegabond, so we hopped in an über, and made our way there. When we arrived, I noticed how small the place was, I thought, «cozy, smells good, let’s do this». The menu is great, everything on it looks amazing, I made my order — which I added a smoothie and a red velvet cupcake to — and within a few minutes received my food. The sandwich was phenomenal, the pepper jack vegan cheese — I’m guessing it was pepper jack — was so ridiculously good. The red velvet cake cupcake, was amazing — i want to go back and purchase more. It’s also kind of part grocery store, so it has a lot of vegan options for you to take home and make your meals. I grabbed a vego chocolate bar and some gummy bears, which was probably the best decision of my life. I’m so glad the other vegan breakfast restaurant was closed, or I would have missed out on this treasure.

The food was really good and the staff was nice. Cosy eating area and shop. Everything vegan, so we could eat all of our favourites. Would highly recommend to visit this place for a nice vegan lunch or afternoon snack.

Their peanut smoothie has a very unique taste. Don’t miss the chance to taste it.
They also serve a few vegan rolls, raw and Vegas cakes — and that’s it. But why would you need more?
There is also a very good vegan/​raw shop with all sorts of sweet things, sauces, pastas, vegan ice cream (!!) and dried fruits and vegetables.

we’ve eaten here twice this week, they have delicious sandwiches and the atmosphere is very relaxed. they also have groceries. the people are very nice and they have free wifi. what more could you want? oh cupcakes… yes, they have those too but I haven’t had one yet!

A small little coffee/​tea shop in Amsterdam. It’s located close to the Anne Frank house, and I was glad for that I needed my mind to readjust after visiting the museum.
The lady was very nice and helpful at the counter. I ordered a protein smoothie with spinach and pistachio, he ordered a hot tea with fresh mint leaves and we split the orange spice cupcake. The smoothie was really good, not too much of a veggie flavor, which I enjoyed. The cupcake was good, the icing though was really sweet.
There are also wraps you can order and groceries you can buy. This place is totally vegan and also carries some raw and gluten free items. A fun place to check out!

What a cute spot. I got a decaf latte and some delicious cookie-​type balls from behind the counter. The staff was really friendly, the treats were delicious, and the atmosphere was chill. They had a wide variety of specialty snacks and foods. Awesome experience.

We just stumbled upon this great restaurant… and had fantastic wraps. Everything was so fresh… we were happily surprised. The people working there wer super super nice too!

I was so happy that I got to finally come in here before I hit up my physical therapist. Every time i came in here they were closed on Mondays, so I was really happy that i had an appointment on Tuesday instead this time, so I could finally check them out.

Environment is cosy and comfortable.
Customer service is very much friendly, down to earth and great. Nothing snobby about this place. I spoke with a few of the employees and guess what they were all great!
Location is easy to find

Super tasty vegan baked goods and chocolate truffles! They also have a bunch of vegan products like vegan butter, vegan cream cheese, and many more.
They also have a menu with lunch and drinks, and a big window that you can sit by and watch time pass and people watch! Lovely.

I’m not vegetarian or vegan, and I’m notoriously intolerant of food fads and trends like the raw food movement. So why do I come back to this spot time and again? The atmosphere. A welcoming sunny spot, where you can nestle at the large window with a chai, a Pukka tea (great brand) or a latte, and watch the world go by. It’s on a beautiful gracht, and it’s a joy to spend some downtime people-​watching there. As for their selection, the juices are tasty, the vegetarian and vegan offerings are in abundance and look delicious, they’ve got a good selection of health-​food groceries, and I found the staff quite friendly. It might not be entirely my kind of food, but the vibe is definitely my cup of tea.

Where I come from, the hippies are mellow and welcoming… so far, I’ve only found the hippies that run Vegabond to be rude and snobby. My trip yesterday ended with the cashier condescendingly asking me if I wanted a straw (I didn’t hear her the first time she asked). Anyways, they have a good selection of items, but I could do without the attitude, so I am not so sure I will return.

Holy moly – a place I can grocery shop without concern AND serves slamming food? I’m so completely sold. I’ll be back regularly. *hearteyes*

Really nice place with tasty vegan, some gluten free, and healthy food! Perfect for a healthy snack for a shopping break. There’s a wide selection of health food store items as well. Highly recommend the rice wrap (gluten free) and one of the many fruity sodas. I dislike tempeh, but in the rice wrap it was delicious. Staff is extremely kind!
