The Late Night Platform

It’s a 24.7 degree Thursday night in Amsterdam…
The mood is right, you know you shouldn’t be partying since you need to wake up early for that 9.00am meeting that someone with no life inappropriately scheduled, and you and your friends are feeling oooooooooooh so niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
You walk into Palladium with your shirt unbuttoned one level lower than usual like you own the place. Once you realize how boring being pretentious is, you being to prowl the streets in Leidseplein…
Oh what’s this? A whiskey bar? Oh but I’ve had beer so I shouldn’t mix… Oh what the hell, bring it on!
Now where are we… the Water Hole? Oh man, this sounds like trouble… SHOTS FOR EVERYONE!!!
… Stumble stumble… thank god it’s too late for the trams to be running because I will for sure fall walking along leidsestraat and get T-​boned by one of those blue and white tin cans… Hey wait man, where are we going? Church??? What kind of place is that?

WOOOOOOHH! That wazzzz zzome crazy S^&%!!! Huuu huuu I’m suuuuper wasted maaaaaaaan. Let’s binge on some nutritional late night food before everything clozzzzessss. You douche-​bags are getting Burger King? Aight… Imma tap me some falafel Sammy across the street.

Have the late night munchies with the futile mindset that the greasy food you are about to eat will actually help you be less hung over from all the beer/​whiskey/​test tubes filled with pink liquor you drank all night? Well… I’ve got the best place for you and your friends to eat!!!
This is NOT a restaurant, it’s a platform directly across from the address listed. A nice semi-​hidden wooden platform on Prinsegracht where you and your drunk ass friends can gather and hoover all your late night grease patties as you argue about who is more wasted and who will be most F’ed the next morning. I seriously have spent several nights here; sober, not so sober, not even CLOSE to sober and it’s one of my favorite late night spots in Amsterdam! My friends and I will get food around the corner, meet at the platform, feed the swans (since they will attack otherwise) and give names to all the ducks that pass by. What a great way to end drunk nights out in Amsterdam before you have to bike home. Because of course all the food you will consume will completely rid you of your drunk stupor so you can ride your bike home… since it’s illegal en stuff… Yeah…
