Pylones

Fun, bright, crazy stuff that you never knew you needed.
I ended up buying a watch that is bright green and teal that is a slap bracelet with the actual face of the watch surrounded by an old school clock. Weird to explain, but oh so fun to wear.
There are so many completely random objects in this store. If you have a hipster friend or even a little kid that you need to buy a gift for, definitely check this place out.
You probably don’t need anything this store sells, but you’ll walk out wanting some of it!

LOVE this store. Full of fun, funky and colourful household items that are artistic and functional. Everything from funky graters, mugs, toasters that are works of art to fabulous rings and pens. Lots of gift ideas for men, women, teens and kids too, If you love colour and ways to reimagine basic household things, visit this store.

Pylones is a very funny French brand. The have all kinds of stuff for your house; decoration, stuff for your kitchen or bathroom, lamps, tableware and much more :) I love their cool and colourful shop in the Leidsestraat.
From time to time I go there to buy something new for my Pylones collection. They have some very funny stuff like a frog tape dispenser (bought it!) or some crazy dish brushes. This shop is a great place for finding gifts for a friend or your mum (our yourself of course, like I usually do).
The prices are fine. I have heard people say that they are expensive but I don’t think they are (some stuff might be but in general I think it is fine). Sure, their dish brush might cost a lot more (18 euros) than a simple one at Albert Heijn but at Pylones you can get one that is a lot more fun and nicer to see. There is also a lot of cool stuff that is cheaper if you still find 18 euros a bit to much: for example; some cool kitchen timers (8 euros) and the most awesome contact lens cases ever! (5 euros)
So yeah, I a fan! :)

Very cute little store with all kinds of crazy little things that you never knew you needed. A hedgehog toothpick holder? So cute! They have these stores in the states (at least in NYC) so it’s not totally unique to Amsterdam, but very fun nonetheless!

Hey a Pylones in Amsterdam, I know two in New York City, but this one also has goofy, unique, fun and odd stuff. They even have different and more stuff than in the New York City store. You’re see stuff like scissors in the form of a duck, a slap on watch, unique speakers, huge pens/​lighters, colorful toilet paper, odd toys and gadgets. Walk up the steps and there are some more upstairs but not by that much, at least taking the tiny elevator down was fun. Do people really buy this stuff? I guess, obviously for fun. It IS really a fun store.
