Puma

After leaving the Nike Amsterdam store empty handed and disappointed in their choice of items, I continued my stroll through Amsterdam’s shopping district. Found the Puma store quite by accident and went in to take a look to see if the shop had any Netherlands or Amsterdam branded merchandise which they did. The sales help were approachable, friendly, and helpful, unlike the Nike staff where just kept to themselves and were not particularly interested in engaging with customers. Why would they when the product sells itself?
Ana, one of the sales clerks, encouraged me to go upstairs as there are several levels to the store. What she also explained is that the store is designed with an eye to representing Amsterdam’s character. So look for the bike lamp, the side mirrors mounted on the wall, and a neat rope and lightbulb art piece in the stairwell.
Great selection of items. I purchased an Amsterdam t-​shirt that was unique and well made and on sale for much less than what the street vendors wanted for their stuff.

I like this store because of the location and selection. Many styles of Puma that I’ve never seen before or even considered. I got a fabulous looking sports shoe with thinsulate for the cold Amsterdam winters… but stylish too. Helpful sales people who let me try to speak my learners Dutch
