Pizza Heart

Great pizza! My husband LOVES pizza to the point that when we lived in Auckland he would drive 30 – 40 minutes to Sal’s as he loved it so much! In London I’d recommend Friezza.
New York Pizza doesn’t quite cut it but Pizza Heart had some great recommendations. I’m so glad we gave this a go. It was the best delivered pizza we have tried in Amsterdam they deliver late too and you can also order wine, beer or Ben and Jerry’s ice cream
I had the pizza Appetitosa which had mozerella, Gorgonzola, Parma ham and fresh cherry tomatoes. The base was a real crusty fresh one. It was good and I’d have it again. Mine was better than my husband’s. He had the pizza 4 stagioni which had mushroom. Both were good.
Delivery starts at 4pm and it takes around 30 mins. It’s wood fired so real pizza.
Tip: you can get a wholewheat pizza

So its a saturday night and hungry and tired. There is no food to order in the hotel (Best Western Laide square). Ge said to call the local pizza. I called this store because its so close to the hotel and has amazing reviews and I can finally try non-​California pizza. Well Im very disappointed… I Tried to order over the phone and the guy i spoke with on a saturday night at feb/​22/​16 2355 was denying my attempt to order. He also said I was too far away to deliver, even even though I didnt say where i was located… i felt like he probably thought Im a tourist… we are idiots or schemers or something (i dont really believe ppl here are mean… its so far ny top favorite friendliest country ive been to so far). anyways I just want them to take my order. He should have just asked for my credit card and to take my money (pls) so i can try your good quality reviewed pizza on Unilocal.So far ALL te food here was amazing besides the Phở @Saigon. It was very bland and watery… they mess up orders… california wins in Phở… we have the BEST phở hands down in San Gabriel area. The best snack foods here is the Street Market (best chicken wings and the store next to it has the best meatballs). Best french fries… if In-​N-​Out served your countries fries they would start in the stock market and it will be the next Google. Anyways sorry for jumping off topic I thoroughly enjoyed everything (ive seen so far) in this country the friendly bars here and music a.
2 stars only for the service. It probably would of been a ⁵⁄₅ pizza if only I can just order. I would pick it up but unfortunately Im umbrella-​less since my stupid ass left it at The Bulldog. I left and noticed right away. I tried to go back in but the security said, «You cant go back in. Not now.» Started to shake his head and had a good day i guess since he was smiling and talking to the first person waiting. So I had to walk home umprellaless because it wqs drizzling I chanced myself to get back and avoid the possible showers of rain protectionless… especially when my nice kicks are out.
Wow I didnt even proofread this. If you read up till now you are indeed bored. But this really happened and I wrote all this prior to eating a spacecake when my order got canceled. Now I am highr and hungry and sad. sorry for any typos.

Not a bad spot to dine in, even though most people prefer to order delivery pizzas here as, as could be seen by the delivery guys coming in and out while we were there. There is enough seating inside for a quick meal.
The pizzas come in 2 sizes, which is great because you can have a meal without having to take leftovers home. The owner is really friendly and welcoming, and even offered to improvise the bruschetta pizza for us. I also tried the zucchini-​aubergines pizza, although for reason unknown I had a hard time finding any zucchini on it. The oven is indeed wood-​fired.
I thought the pizzas were alright. Definitely nothing very different from all the touristy pizza spots in the vicinity. I guess my opinion would be different if I were hungry late in the evening and my only other option was a snack bar that delivered stake pizzas.

Really enjoyed the pizza and it’s a great spot for late night pizza here in Amsterdam. Stefano was very nice and accommodating and close to several bars and clubs.

Saturday night, 10pm. A girl watches Netflix and thinks «ooh, maybe I should order pizza after this episode ends». New York Pizza’s website is opened, and she carefully chooses her flavours for the day. And then, the most horrible thing happens: it’s 10h32pm and they’re not delivering anymore. OH NO, WHAT NOW?
There’s nothing else you can do but go to thuisbezorgd and look for something else. They suggest this place called «Pizza Heart», it delivers until 2h30am and it has nice reviews. The girl decides to give them a shot, and…
SHE FALLS IN LOVE WITH THE PIZZA, OH YES SHE DOES! Made in a wood oven, deliciously burnt underneath (a characteristic found only in pizzas baked in wood ovens), with crispy borders, thin dough, and tasty filling, this pizza has everything you need to keep your belly happy.
The delivery was super quick, around 30min, and even though the pizza arrived a bit warm it was a delightful surprise. If you’re from Brazil (especially Sao Paulo), you’ll rejoice with the fact it’s a wood oven pizza — something so rare in Amsterdam. Have I mentioned the box? It has quirky quotes such as «another one bites the crust» and «slice, slice baby» in the corners. Good food AND good humour? You got me!
Next time you have a pizza craving, forget those big chains and go for Pizza Heart. You might fall in love as well!

After Pizza Heart in IJburg snubbed me and wouldn’t deliver to me anymore in city center because I was suddenly «too far away» after a year of not being «too far away», I took my pain and consoled myself by ordering from their Reguliersdwars location. But they were closed for renovations for months! Woe was me! After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, their city center location finally re-​opened and I have been re-​connected to my go-​to pizza supplier in time of need. I can’t even eat anything from Domino’s anymore, because this place has spoiled me for it.
My favorite pizza is the marinara, with extra cheese and sauce, because it comes with no cheese by default, and extra sauce brings it up to the sauce level I was used to in Chicago. I usually specify this in the comment box on their website or on the thuisbezorgd app, but sometimes they don’t read the comments and I get a pizza without extra anything. :(
In cases when I really want to make sure they acknowledge my special requests, I call in my order. But one time when they didn’t fulfill my extra sauce and cheese request I called them and they sent me another pizza free of charge with the extra sauce and cheese, so I’m glad they were willing to do something to make it right.
I have also tried their pepperoni pizza, which is good but it comes with red bell peppers strewn about it, which is confusing. It’s still good, but weird. Their pizza hawaii makes a good dessert pizza. And the pizza with bacon, dates, and goat cheese is a wonderful sweet treat, hot or cold. That’s the other thing about Pizza Heart pizza, is that it’s also delicious the next day cold out of the fridge, and that’s the ultimate test of pizza. And their desserts are tasty too. Long live Pizza Heart!

I was skeptical, but we were also hungry. And it was late. And we were at home. And we didn’t want to cook. Did I mention we were hungry? :)
My hopes were lifted when I saw a vegan pizza on the menu (the «bruschetta» pizza on a whole wheat crust). I ordered it and another one specifying ‘no cheese’ on the online order form (bitcoin accepted!).
I didn’t really watch the clock, but it seemed like less than half an hour before the phone rang. I stepped out and the delivery guy handed me the warm boxes. I know cash isn’t what most people use here, but I usually tip with cash out of habit. I know that if I was the delivery person I would prefer it…
Pizzas were fresh, warm, and delicious, and all of my crazy vegan requests were fulfilled. The vegans were no longer hungry… all was well.

One of the better pizza places in Amsterdam. Clay oven, good ingredients etc. nothing fancy but it’s pizza… good pizza.

Nice and tasty. If you want a fast bite before The movies. Real Italians and not expensive. You can share a big pizza so for 16 euro you have a meal for two with two drinks.
Simple and the owners are really nice guys.
