Really nice little place! The interior is cool and very rustic. The ceiling and walls are covered in wood which gives the place a nice vibe and atmosphere. The place is quite small and always very crowded, so be there early to get a seat. There aren’t many seats, so be prepared to stand up! In the summer the place has outdoor seating as well, yet people are hanging out in front of the bar all year around:)

Mash is an enigma — camouflaged next to het paardje — you’ve walked by hundreds of time, but never noticed it.
Every cm2 inside is entirely plywood (no joke), the ceiling is lower than usual, and there’s low incandescent/​candle lighting — leading to unique experience, since you feel like you’re inside a Gamma temporary wood project. If you’re claustrophobic, this would probably be the worst place ever.
I can’t tell you too much about the drinks, but worth a visit to this off-​the-​beaten-​path bar if you’re in de pijp.
