Mas Y Mas

Surprisingly, Amsterdam has restaurants professing to be Argentine steakhouses on every corner. Really, are there so many Argentine immigrants in Holland? I find it doubtful, but that’s besides the point. The fact of the matter was that I was traveling with a band of true blue Argentinians and it was perhaps destiny that we would try one of these places before leaving. Mas Y Mas ended up being the restaurant we tried.
My wife and I both got a 200g portion of steak cooked medium well for roughly 10 Euro, and it was about the quality of Applebee’s, Outback, or even Longhorns. Considering that I’ve had some awful and expensive meals abroad, this was kind of a «win» for me, though granted I had lowered my standards. From an authenticity standpoint, this was not Argentine steak as advertised, but that doesn’t mean it was bad steak.
My one gripe with this place is that they charged me 2.50 Euro for some minuscule portion of fake Chimmichurri. I assumed it was complementary like condiments and free of charge, but not in Europe I guess. My fault for not asking.
In the end, I would try this place again, and recommend that other tourists give it a try! Not the best you’ll find in Amsterdam, but it is good food at affordable prices.

The thing I like about this place is that they sell cheap finger sushi that you can eat on the go. It’s one of a plethora places in Amsterdam specializing in cheap and satisfying meals.

This place seems nice from the outside but once you step in there is no service and you wait until they finally notice you. When first noticed the server says, «so what do you want?». The food is decent but the uncomfortable atmosphere makes it an unpleasant meal.

At first I was excited, I walked in and this place was filled! It looked like it would be a great time and the food looked good. after waiting for 15 minutes the server finally greeted us with a attitude! We quickly ordered drinks and food to not risk the wait any more. The food was good but experience and service was a D–

Bei Mas Y Mas handelt es sich um eine Pizzeria im Centrum von Amsterdam. Direkt nebenan liegt eine dazugehöriges Argentinisches Restaurant.
Die Pizzen (ca. 10 €) schmecken gut und auch die Getränkepreise sind vernünftig. Die Atmosphäre ist gut, wenn auch alles sehr auf Touristen ausgelegt zu sein scheint.
Insgesamt einen Besuch wert, um den Hunger stillen, aber keine Ausgeh-​Pizzeria.

All of our friends told us to get Argentinian food while we were in Amsterdam. There are so many choices! We chose this one because it was rated on Unilocal with more than 3 stars and near where we were.
It was lunch time, so the place only had 4 tables of customers — but everyone seemed happy to be there. The waiter was super attentive (a little too much at first).
The interior is warm and Argentinian/​American Western style with tables and booths with tables and chairs.
The food was fantastic, the wine paired perfectly. The prices weren’t the cheapest but worth it for the quality of food.
If you’re in this part of town and want Argentinian food, stop in!
