This place is pretty terrible. At least compared to the positive reviews it’s received on Unilocal so far. Outside of that context I’d say it’s below average. Either way, I recommend staying away. I don’t know if the other reviewers were bribed, or what. The pizzas we ordered from here were bland, salty, and somehow completely devoid of cheese. I even asked for extra cheese and sauce on mine, and what I got was an expensive circle of pizza crust with a pool of sauce on it, anchovies and olives, and no cheese. Anywhere. My husband’s chicken pizza was the same deal, only with dried out chunks of chicken on it. And for some reason it came with a container of pesto sauce.(?) I tried the tiramisu as well, because of the rave reviews, and I believe you could achieve the same result by buying some cookies in the grocery store and dumping a container of cream on top of them. Same complexity of recipe, same incredibly bland flavor, and somehow dry cookies, in spite of being surrounded by liquid matter. I don’t know how anyone could mistake this for an authentic Naples restaurant, or for any food served in Italy. My most charitable guess is that all the other reviewers were suffering from colds at the time they ate here, and therefore their sense of taste was completely gone.

Amazing! Finally an Italian joint where the food actually tastes Italian instead of some pretentious dish containing an excess of oregano and basil. Also the staff were very friendly and helpfull The only complaint would probably be the price… but then again according to Amsterdam standards I was happy that the experience compensated the price. So all good. Highly recommended!

This place is totally underrated. It is really as good as it gets! I am sitting, writing the review as I eat the tiramisu from Maccheroni. Very good texture and taste. Only real Italians can do it. This place is owned by a Italian as well. I ordered the bolognese pasta dish. It was yummy, it tastes like home cooked meal. That was what I needed when I really dont want to cook. Apparently I dont want to cook much lately… anyway, Daniel ordered himself a pizza. He loved it and he was raving about how wonderful the sauce is. Plenty of meat on his pizza, perfect for a meat lover. The price is standard Amsterdam but it is actually cheap for its quality. Tiramisu is a bit pricey – 6 euros but it is a HUGE portion and delicious. This whole meal makes me want to go to Italy right away.
