I’ve been here twice already.
Once for lunch and once for breakfast.
The menu here is not so big so not many options in general and not so many vegetarian options.
I love the breakfast here. It’s not special. Not worth cycling or getting here if you’re far away.
But if you’re in the neighborhood, for me, it’s simply perfect.
Not too much food, just the right amount. Not too fancy or original, just good.
Coffee is good, eggs are well made, croissant is flaky and fresh, bread is great.
The atmosphere is awesome– they have a great outside sitting and the inside is really cool.
I live in the neighborhood and for me this is the place I wanna go for breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

The service at Hendrix is great! We had a friendly and efficient server, she really was good. The food was delicious: I had fish and chips, 3 generous chunks of fish served with roasted sweet potatoes (healthier than regular chips, I’d guess) and my pal the hollumi which was very attractively presented. We undid any health benefits by having the brownie (fudgey, yummy) for dessert and cocktails. We found the cocktails creative but weak. Nice quiet terrace on the canal a plus.

Meh… This place looks really cool but the food was exactly what irks me about restaurants here. I don’t understand why they get away with serving you a plate of nacho cheese flavored Doritos with barely any actual cheese melted on them and serve it with guacamole from a jar and Thai sweet chili sauce??? That’s not nachos, it’s not «soul food» and it’s definitely not worth what they charge for it. I wish they’d Google a recipe for nachos and Pico and use some fresh ingredients. Fish and chips were pretty bland too so we wouldn’t go back to try more.

We had an excellent lunch shrimp tacos and the vegetarian sandwich was very good. They have free wi-​fi but they don’t take credit cards.

Hendrix could become my new favorite hang out. Nice terrace, good menu and great various places inside to sit down and kick it back.
We had nachos to start. The BIG ONE. And it sure was big. A lot a cheese, spicy jalapenos and good dips. Because it was thát big we were doubting if we could handle the sliders.
Luckily we could. Very decent burgers on tasty buns.
I don’t know if I would call it soul food, but I reckon it will calm me down after a busy day. Today we were going for a good time and Hendrix offered just that.
Also: very friendly service.
