I was actually surprised of the wine quality at the grape districts the first time I visited. Seeing them around the city and the sign it made me think that it was just like a gall and gall. This is not the case though. The shop unlike a few others concentrates solely on wine. Also, since the store is not overly large they seem to dedicate their stock to wines they enjoy or find interesting. When I was there the guy working had a good knowledge of his stock and we agreed on a few bottles for me to try. Both the bottles I bought were good if not great and the prices were just around € 10 a bottle. Certainly a better selection than your average wine section in the grocery.

Wonderful customer service. I really love the attitude and the philosophy of this small chain of stores. We went daily to pick out of bottle of wine while renting an apartment for the week in Amsterdam. Seem to have free tastings on Friday and Saturdays. I highly recommend them, and don’t be shy about asking for a recommendation. We tasted a bunch of great wines during our stay, all for under 10 euros.
