Gamma is the main store where you purchase your housewares supplies and décor in Amsterdam. For actual home supplies this is the first stop to make. What I appreciate about Gamma is that they have more variety as far as home improvement needs. Gamma became the second store that we made a lot of trips to when remodeling our place. I’m leaning more towards Gamma because it’s one of the largest home improvement companies in Holland.
However, the only thing that discouraged me about this store is that we could not get proper answers to our questions from their employees. The employees lacked knowledge on house-​ware items and their products. Something the management team may need to improve on. Most importantly employees should not only know their products but how to give recommendations to the customers. It’s so disappointing when they aren’t familiar with either options. Here is just some good old conventional wisdom for management and higher up.
