Ich fand den Laden beim Besuch in Amsterdam nicht gerade überragend… Preise waren ok. Personal kam mir nicht sehr gut herüber

The best record shop I found in Amsterdam, it’s quite similar to some of the larger record shops on Oxford Street in London. It’s spread across several floors and the CDs are stocked floor-​to-​ceiling. There aren’t many record shops left that keep such a wide ranging stock on display, in this iTunes/​internet age, so it was nice to see.
However, partly thanks to the weak pound against the Euro, as a British visitor every CD seemed over-​priced to me. Even the ‘bargain sale’ section was stuff I could easily find cheaper on the internet.
Also, as with a lot of ‘record shops’, half their stock at least is now DVDs and Blu-​Rays instead of music, so the range of music stocked is maybe not as wide as it would once have been. Not bad though.
